Oh yes, I forgot about the fake teeth. That is so creepy.

Also, some parents really push these little kids, and you can tell they don't always like it. Let kids be kids for crying out loud. These girls are going to grow up thinking their self worth is based on looks alone.

I saw my daughter from behind when she was wearing a dress and a high heeled pair of princess shoes.

I had a momentary vision, daydream, whatever you want to call it. She looked like a little version of a woman. It freaked me out.

I would never never never and again I say never put my child in these pageants. It is freaky and creepy how these little girls look. Little girls should look like little girls, not tiny women. I just don't understand why anyone would do such a thing with their daughter. I just don't get it.

Fake teeth? I didn't even know about the fake teeth!

What's next, fake boobs?

TLC is starting to make Jerry Springer look like educational TV.

Anyone who forces their kids into these pageants should be strung up by their genitals and beat like a pinata, in my opinion.

I see TLC airs this show at 10pm...I guess they don't want kids to watch it.

I watched a little bit of this show, got digusted and turned it off. The parents are definately living out their dreams thru their little girls. How selfish! The gay dad was the worst, his baby was only two years old, she and these other kids are going to grow up thinking they are not good enough. I see many years of therapy ahead for these kids thanks to their parents.

I think most little girls like to play dress up, and it's fun for them. I just think t hese pageants are taking it too far, and it's unhealthy for the girls as they grow up. It sends the wrong message.

I agree. My dd loves to play dress up. It's just eerie to see how they can almost look like small adults sometimes.

I haven't seen the show this thread is about, but I don't think I could bear to watch it. Just seeing the pictures of Jon Benet (sp?) was enough for me. It is just odd, the whole pageant thing. Unnatural.

No way. Shirley Temple was always just cute and cutesy, precocious maybe, but never sexualized. Not even close.
