I haven't watch the Oscars for quite some time. But I am curious this year to see if Mickey Rourke wins. I want to make sure to tune in at the right time. They name Best Actor close to the very end of the show usually, right?

After seeing the opening, I doubt Jackman will ever be the host again. Pathetic. I watched until they did the supporting actress thing. Im sorry, but these people gushing over each other seems a bit sickening nowadays.

Oscars are officially over for me. I wanted to see the opening since when there is a comedian it is normally pretty funny. This year, with Jackman, it was horrid. He isn't a comedian so i guess he gets some slack. Then they went into the old supporting actresses gushing over the new nominees. Something about them tooting each others horns was a bit nauseating. TV is officially turned off for the night. On to The Office on the DVD player.

Being the thrifty movie watcher that I am, I just realized that I would enjoy the Oscars more had these movies all been available at Blockbuster. I am sure it helps to have seen the movies to get into the Oscars.

Well if you ever heard the statement " Watching paint dry" I understand why they wanted to keep presentors a secret, hoping people would stay watching. The fist few hours are so boring because everyone just wants to see the big awards. I did like it when some past winners like actress and actors came out to present I thought that was a nice touch. During the time Jennifer Aniston was on I do not understand why they had to take the camea to Angelina. What did they think she was going to give Jennifer the finger. During the memory time of the people who passed this last year you couldn't read the names because they didn't zoom in. I liked the Jerry Lewis thing. He is an icon and because 3 of my kids are Jerry kids I respect the work he does for MDA. I was sad that he doesn't look to hot. All in all another awards show, for people who make way too much money.
