Uhm how can anyone say Joan is a decent person.
Watch this, YouTube - Joan and Melissa Rivers on Ellen Defending Tirade 2/2
she called brande dumb, even after the show was over. And just because she is a comedian doesn't give her the right to do that...she was a genuine a-hole
And seriously what ugly people. They're talking about being fake, look at all of their surgery. So gross.
Annie is often annoying, but i think she is actually a nice person. And i hate how the Rivers keep on bringing up how Annie called Brande dumb. There's no footage of it. And yes i realize there is no footage of the designers explaining why they left, but when they force you to shut off the cameras or leave, you can assume it was Joans fault.
you are taking this all waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
personal and serious!!

Annie clearly was portrayed to be a very unlikeable person. Yet, somehow, Joan River proved herself lightyears ahead in the accumulated character flaws department, particularly with her delusions of self-importance, ridiculous paranoid persecution complex, and general low-class nastiness.
Again ... what were you watching ... surely not the Celebrity Apprentice the majority of viewers were watching. Annie put herself in that position from the start, no one had to "portray" her that way. She was featured to be "very unlikeable" just like Joan was. Annie's tactics were sleazy from the beginning, or did you bother watching that?
Take Joan's name and substitute Annie's in your above quote and this is what most everyone thought about Annie and the very reason why she lost. Your conspiracy theories on this whole matter are a bit over the top, don't ya think?
I think you are taking this "firing" a bit too personal.
I just love how much many people here are in denial of racism in our visual culture. Ever wonder why all the people being helped in Joan's charity's video are white? Because even if in reality, there are people of color involved, they decided not to show it, since it visually does not make white Americans identify with them as "ourselves". American TV audience is so manipulated by racial images without even the ability to criticize them, and that's how TV works.
Wow, I watched the show and I never connected the racial undertones behind it. Of course, there were no people of color involved in Joan's charity because only white people have HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses.
If I had to choose which one to donate to based off the commercials we saw and I had no idea who Joan or Annie were I would have picked Joan's charity simply because it helps Americans.
One thing I did wonder about was the lack of celebs. It seems like every time I turn around one of them is doing some stupid show just to make sure they stay in the spotlight so you think they'd have been able to reach somebody - I'll bet MC Hammer had a previous engagement.
The show is done, and over, the bottom line is Joan won, and the money did go to a charity that
did come in to help with doing it? Who really does care, it was to go to people who are hurting, quit
the bickering, wait til next year! I also am sure Annie's charity will also do well.
Hey, this thread was better than watching the show
I was thinking that same thing. I got bored with the show last night, and never finished watching it and got on here to read about it. I was more intrigued with everyone's comments on how the show played out.
Good job everyone!
I think you are taking this "firing" a bit too personal.
Yeah, right. That is why I didn't even bother to watch the finale.
I frankly did not think much of the last six which is where I started viewing. I really wouldn't want to be around any of them with the possible exception of JJ.
What exactly is "personal" about the obvious paranoid "I'm a victim" idiocy of someone who sees Hitler and Nazis everywhere? That's no better, IMO, than the opposite extreme of alarmist wackos in the 1950's (and some modern day Republicans) who saw communists under every rock, mostly, as it turns out, as a way to enhance their own ambitions.
Poor multimillionaire foul-mouthed acerbic Joan Rivers is being persecuted? Gimme a break and cry me a Rivers.
