Kings
New series premiering Sunday on NBC with Ian McShane cast as the lead character. That alone, is enough to make me check it out.

From what I've read, the series is expected to closely follow the Old Testament so it will draw from the religious audience. It will also attract non-religious viewers because of epic style and dramatic fee

I am all for checking out a new drama series. I just hate when I really like something, then it is gone and replaced by the crappy reality stuff. Who keeps watching these bachelor shows, and model shows?

The show followed the original story pretty closely in parts. In others, it was WAY different. I think they caught the spirit of David and Silas/Saul pretty well. Jack/Jonathan is COMPLETELY different. In the original story, David and Jonathan were blood-brothers. On Kings, they seem to be setting them up as rivals.
Anyway, I liked KINGS. Not the greatest show ever, but definitely one of the better shows on TV now. Ian McShane is definitely the best thing about the show.

Haven't decided yet whether I will watch it again next week.
ETA - that Ian McShane is a cutie pie though!

The Previews alone made it look over-hyped, and so I did not watch but a few minutes worth. I lost intrest very quickly.
