I know the show isn't terribly original (cop drama - male/female tension) but it's just so much fun! And Nathan Fillion makes all kinds of in-jokes for his fans. On the season premiere when he mentioned Ryan Reynolds - hilarious!
(Ryan Reynolds got the part in the upcoming Green Lantern movie, a part that should have gone to Nathan)

The stories are kind of contrived but the characters of Castle, his daughter and his mother are worth the watching.
