Castle really desperately wants to know his father, and believe he's okay. That act, with the absolute absense of any feeling, broke the mirror. And Beckett, with her mother issues, can understand where someone else might not. I love the genuine sense of loving and caring that has developed between them.
That was a good episode. Had me fooled as to who really had the power. I knew the kid was for real and he didn't use stuff. Hope Beckett will give the kid more credit when she and Castle have pillow talk about it.
