What is wrong with these people living beyond their means to an excessive extent?! Does no one try to balance the old checkbook anymore? Or do simple math where {What I earn - What I spend} is a pretty simple equation? I'm like one of the other posters here: If I owe so much as $20 to someone, I cannot REST until I get it back to them.

It's called "Keeping up with the Joneses". Stupid, stupid, stupid - but so many folks do it. I've known many in my life. Thank goodness I had a Dad who instilled in me some money sense and some basic practical skills.
What kills me is how these housewives and wannabes seem to think that this crap won't surface eventually. I've lead a fairly circumspect life but even I would not want to have the kind of scrutiny these women get.
