[quote=World Citizen;2070323]Hating someone because of their voice? Wow...QUOTE]

I didn't say I liked or disliked Rachel Ray....I was commenting about the 'fad' voice that a lot of gals like to use to feel as though they are "with it"...whatever that means. Sorry that you misread/misunderstood what I wrote.

Default Sorry!

Sorry Katie45,

I didn't mean for that to be directed at you personally. Your post was in answer to other posts which talked about her voice and other petty stuff...

But, REALLY... I met Julia Child in person once... and, I've seen her old shows on PBS. Julia wasn't high fashion, and she had an annoying voice, and she was really pretty klutzy in the kitchen -- but SHE COULD COOK!

Peace!!!

No problem!

And Julia Child....now to me she was one of the most entertaining tv cooks...mainly because she didn't care how she looked and I always cracked up at the way she was so messy..

A woman looks better with a real body than a bag of bones thin rail anyday. Rachel looks good to me, although Nigella Lawson looks even better.

She was Hubby's "favorite" until she started the Rachel Ray show. Now he says she's annoying.

I second every word of this! I'm one of those lucky guys, too ... my lovely wife is curvy and beautiful, and she cooks up a storm. What more could a guy want?

Forget these stick figures that the media and pop culture keep trying to push on us as the standard of sexiness. I'll take Nigella Lawson's full, luscious curves any day of the week! That woman is a goddess.

I like listening to and watching Rachel Ray; because she seems really real -- like a fellow co-worker or something.

But her food looks so freakin' gross! My family and I sort of throw up a little in our mouths everytime she shares a recipe!
