The TV scheduling gurus? The schedule of so many programs that I watch are continually interrupted -- on for a a couple of weeks, off for a couple of weeks -- it's so irritating!!

The scheduling reminds me of last year's strike where the networks super-stretched out what programs already recorded. Can't they just run a program without the continual breaks? It's especially irritating for programs with a continuing story line....I almost forget what the story is about!

Because I hate to wait for the next episode on a couple of shows (like 24 and Damages), I TiVo them, bunching all the episodes to watch when the season is over. However, I can't do that with all the programs...Yikes!

Give me a regular, unbroken season...PLEASE!

Or maybe it's just me.....

No it's not just you but keep in mind the networks are trying to tease people along and keeping them watching. When they do a week or two break during the season, they are teasing us because we like whatever show is on and know we will continue to watch. They know we are sitting there yelling and screaming but we will tune in again. It's all a game.

It might be a game where they are going to be losing soon. I am at the point of just shutting off the satellite for real. Thought about getting that box thing to pick up local and network channels but don't even know if I will do that. Just asked my kids for a DVR for Mother's day but think I will rescind
it.

It's another way to make it seem like 10 episodes is an entire season of TV.....

I noticed it too. It's why I don't watch TV that much anymore, and it's why I no longer follow series'.

There are 22 episodes in a standard season and about 40 weeks that the standard TV season runs. They have to have some weeks with no episodes.
