Macies I felt the same about Art this week. The fact is, he made a bad decision - not just one the judges didn't like - one that a number of the other chefs cringed at as well - even he had his doubts. I think he thought Anita was gonna go and that he was surprised (and pouty) that it was him.

100% YES! Talk about the Me Generation - sheesh - the 70s had nothing on "kids" these days. And these days "kids" covers a MUCH broader range - anyone who feels entitled and acts infantile! Sorry...rant...Jaxson's fault LOL

Yes Art is full of drama and is a bit whiney at time but I still like him. The way he cooks, there is no way Oprah could have remained on a diet.
I like all tha remain. They are really all so talented.

I was NOT happy to see the previews for next week. What's his name needs to be kicked out of the kitchen. I was appalled at the way he spoke to Michael.
I thought Art was just trying not to show tears. He's so emotional, that I just figured that was his way of trying to be solid. I liked him.
While I'm hoping Michael wins, I would be happy with any of them.

Art brought a lot of cheer to the group, but he did mess up and someone has to go. Anita is going to be next if she doesn't get her act together.

What's his name was Dale...remember him from a season or two ago? Had a real temper and potty mouth....I think he objected (strenuously) to being called "young man" or some such.

I was very annoyed to see that prima donna mouthing off at Michael Chiarello in the preview.
I have especially enjoyed Top Chef Masters because the chefs have been so generous and supportive of each other even while competing. The congeniality and respect has been such a refreshing change from the typical cutthroat ruthlessness of similar shows. There is already plenty of back stabbing childish drama on TV, and I hope that's not the road this show is going down.

I feel the same. I think I want Rick Bayless to win, but then I like Hubert Keller just as much.
Poor Anita, she just seems so sad and uptight all the time.

I know! It's so hard to choose between Rick and Hubert!
My sister has been to Anita's restaurants and, while she appreciated the "intellectual" approach the critics keep talking about, she didn't care for how the food actually tasted. Also, we both agreed that Anita went too far afield for the burger challenge - that mini burger cheese soup was a bad move.
Gotta wait til Wednesday for the next one, right? <sigh>
Tilli, I agree with your post - here's hoping Dale is the only bad apple and the show doesn't take a turn.
