The guy at the judges' table is a choreographer and has been a judge in the past few seasons. They let the choreographers be the guest judges, so next week it'll be someone else. Mia may be a choreographer tonight (they can't judge if they choreograph a piece).

Not that I miss Mia, I really, really don't. She doesn't like anyone's performance. If she can't say something negative about the performance, she will talk bad about the outfit or the choreographed piece. She's way too negative for me and makes it more personal than professional.

Thank you for that we are new to watch this show and paying attention to details this season.

DD so far likes couple #3.

Couple #3 did well, too. Judges loved it.

Couple #4 was great. I felt the emotion, even though I knew they were acting. That's how it should be! The judges agreed with me. Although the first judge seems to say the same thing to those he likes.

So far I like #1, #3 and #4. I was not crazy about #2 and I think they'll be in the bottom three (people tend to vote along the judges' critique). Of course that could change with the next 6 couples!

We feel that way too about #2 we have local dance shows that I saw more passion than they showed dancing tonight.

Okay not so thrilled with #5. They looked like they were struggling and I can't believe this was the guy's genre; it didn't translate well. The judges agreed with me, for the most part.

Couple #6 got a new genre that was introduced last season, Bollywood. I liked it, but don't know if they performed it right; I haven't been exposed to that genre enough to know the techniques. The judges liked it, too.

So far I like #1, #3, #4 and #6.

Catt is tall and it's very noticeable when she stands next to someone is very short (or vertically challenged, for those who hate the 's' word). I think she's adorable, but I really don't like the design on her dress tonight.

The judges liked #7. I have mixed feelings. I love the strength of the guy, but don't remember the girl. I'm not a fan of the genre, so that may be my hesitation to like it. I'm blah on this one.

Yeah, not too thrilled with the choreography for couple #8. They danced it well, but I hated the dance itself. I think the judges agree with me.
