My new favorite dark comedy until Dexter returns. Catch the premiere early on "on demand". If not, Monday, June 8th
Clip:
Jackie (Edie Falco) is a very effective and efficient nurse with a handsome husband and two adorable daughters. She also has a serious pill problem, a lover who doesn't know she's married, and an unnervingly cynical, hopelessly bleak worldview. Jackie demonstrates very clearly that there's real joy to be found in darkness. She also demonstrates just how irresponsible and wrong the modern urge to put yourself first can be. Jackie is the sort of flawed heroine who's made for a world in which self-involved doctors consume sushi lunches while their patients suffer, and bad mothers stick their babies in automatic swings with the soothing "cricket" sounds turned on so loud that their toddler daughters ask, "Where are the crickets?"

If anyone doesn't have showtime and wants to see the show- there is a link to view it on showtime dot com.

The password is shifthappens.

I liked the episode and I'm an Edie Falco fan. I'm looking forward to all the nurse shows coming this fall. I was never old enough to enjoy any of the old series about nurses.

I recorded the pilot episode.

I am not a fan of Edie Falco but I might check it out.

I liked it, they are showing it on DTV on ch 101, I like her she's a good actress.

What I don't like is that its a 1/2 hr show, why does pay TV do this anyway, do they really think I will stay tuned for the next show? Don't bet on it showtime !

Sometimes with some shows I'd rather rent the DVD's and watch a few episodes as i did with the Sopranos and Rescue Me but you just have to wait till the season is over.

I wish Rescue Me was on a pay channel, love the show, hate the commercials, HBO, Showtime etc are you listening ? pick up Rescue Me from FX

Can you really view the show on showtime.com???

I hope so because I'm a big Edie Falco fan but I don't get Showtime.

I don't know if they will air all the episodes...the pilot is available for viewing. You should be able to find it on hulu or youtube (gotta be quick- maybe someone will be nice enough to upload them) when it starts showing hopefully.
