Totally agree! They were amazing!
Last nights show was the first where I thought we saw numerous great contenders instead of just one or two. Besides Acrodunk - the first act, Texas Tenors(maybe was their name?), the twins have great potential and even the 75 yr old comedienne could hold her own.
When I watch this show I am thinking...could they hold the attention of a large crowd for a 90 minute show and can they physically last for 90 minutes? If they can't I don't think they should make it much further than the trip to Vegas.
For instance, the little precocious 8 yr old was great...but she has no business doing a Vegas act. I often wish they'd do a separate show for kids, say under 15, and have a winner among that group. Then let the rest of the more serious contenders compete for the million dollars and contract.
But that's just me.....

I'm pissed off over them not putting 2 of my favorite acts through (the "disfigured" woman [who to me was less disfigured than she seemed to think] and the 8 year old little girl w/ the HUGE voice ala LeAnn Rhimes). But they put that sorry Obama impersonator through?! He doesn't even do it well. AND WHY ARE THERE TWO BRITISH JUDGES ON *AMERICA'S* GOT TALENT???? And really - Sharon Osbourne? Who decided that she knows talent? I actually understand David Hasselhof. I think his singing is very good - loved him in the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde musical.

So glad that they put Kevin (the singer) from Kentucky through to the quarter finals. I have been rooting for him and hope he picks the right song in the next round.

Have no idea why they put the "Obama" dude thru I can really understand, but also empathize, with the lady and her facial disfigure......BUT, Vegas is about LOOKS and talent. If you've ever been to a Vegas show you will see that!! Wanna know about LOOKS and TALENT, put your eye on the three blonde triplets violin players........one word as a description, WOW and HOT!!! Will they win the competition......? But, they sure would tear up a Las Vegas stage at any of the major hotels!!
I'm an ex-musician and believe me, those ladies CAN play a violin!!!!!!!!
As far as Piers goes, still like the dude!!

They booted of some that I thought were much better than what the kept. That one little girl, who sang towards the end of the audition part, her song started out "At last..."
Wasn't she booted? My girls are about her age and were really inspired by her singing. I though she was very good too.

I told myself I wasn't going to vote - only watch. But 4 of the acts were so impressive that I had to. Mosaic (the acapella group), Kevin (the country singer), the 13 year old dancer, and the magician.

I didn't vote...just not that invested in it. However, my favorite was Acrodunk! They were just amazing.
I wanted Kevin to do brilliantly, but his singing just hurt my ears. It was so obvious he was scared to death and his breathing was very labored making him miss many notes. The judges then praised him for job well done and told him he deserved to be there, but not gushing over him. I took that to mean they were a bit let down but still had confidence he could do it.
I loved Acradian playing the piano, and somewhat agree about him being there to dance instead.
Drew, the magician, for whatever reason is just too obvious what's he's doing and how it's done, so it's a big let down for me. Perhaps being there in person is much more impressive.
And I just have to say....what the heck was with the Dominatrix turned Lucy gal? How in the world did she think going from the contrast of Dominatrix/yodeler to Lucy would be a logical step? Yikes.
