Exactly. I wanted to slap those kids' parents. In this episode, it was THEM, not the 16 y.o. who were the losers.....

Tonights episode with Tyler and Catelynn was a tearjerker I am so proud of them in making the right decision...too bad their own parents aren't. Those two kids are winners

There will be a reunion show next week. Can't wait to see how Carly is doing with her adoptive parents.

Awwww now I wished I would have watched it. We went to a program for literacy and when I got home I had to watch my DVR'd episode of So You Think You Can Dance I'm sure MTV will be rerunning the whole series many many many times so I'll catch it on the rebound

Uh I just saw a preview for the reunion show and that idiot Farrah is saying she wishes she could find a boyfriend...I think if I had a baby at 16 the last thing I'd be worried about is my next boyfriend

Farrah is the dumbest of them all if anyone should have given their kid up it should have been her. That kid is going to be messed up.

Ok, I've seen and guess what it was no surprise. Kids having babies. It DEEPLY saddens me to see that a network will be making money off of these people and their lives and not pay them (especially in this economy). A lot of those people could really use the money.

What also bothers me is that they aren't really showing what happens where the baby comes out of if you talk to some teens they really don't know, or the stitches you get from c-sections and or that end up on the vagina (sorry fellas if I have gotten too specific but am sure you aren't following the thread unless you are a moderator), the bleeding, the pain, then the crying baby and loss of sleep, getting a job, the expense, etc. It was kinda we have a baby it is kind stressful and kinda hard but we are ok.

Some of the girls are lucky because they had the support of their partners. Wonder where these people will end up in the future and if they will have any regrets and if any of these people will be together. They probably won't be together and I'm sure some will have regrets and some will be fine with their decisions. I guess we all do our best with the cards we are dealt.

The couple that gave up their kid for adoption was very lucky because what happens to the kids that never get adopted? They end up in the system. Unfortunately, shows like these are only going to get kids excited about having kids themselves, they will think some how they could make it, and maybe appear on the show. Just like all the kids that saw the Sweet 16 shows, they wanted those expensive parties too. MTV could have just done a special or something instead of making a series out of it. I'm not sure how this show was any different than the True Life shows?

I'm still not sure how watching someone go through the emotions of giving up a child will get anyone "excited" about having a child at 16 but I give you credit for following through with your word. I guess I didn't see the couple as "lucky" at all. I felt hopeful for them. They made a bad choice, and worked through some very difficult emotions to try to "do the right thing". They stayed strong despite very poor parental examples. They understood they didn't have what it takes to do it. They didn't ask their parents to step in and help or the government to pay the price for their choice. Their friends weren't giving them cutesy showers and they weren't selecting baby names that reflected just how young and immature they were. I think it was a very fitting season finale and really showed the difference in maturity levels between them and some of the previous teens.

They've showed several labors, one hard had an especially hard one and was begging for a c-section which they wouldn't give her...of course I don't why I'm telling you that since even if they had an camera inside the birth canal you would have found something negative to say.

Sorry, you didn't like the show...guess you won't be posting about it anymore

The previews for the reunion show have been airing all night - it looks like the first girl, the one who had her own place, is going to be their solo. And the girl who had the baby from her older brother's friend; he still sounds about as stupid as a box of rocks "it feels better with a rubber"

maciesmom, the last show was the only show that had an adoption (if I am incorrect please let me know). So the other shows would get kids excited overall to have the kids. Even the adoption, if they come to the conclusion that they really don't want the kid they will think oh I can just give it up. Many kids do think this way and some get money from doing so there is an incentive there. In the prior shows the teens were given baby showers and were picking out names they made it seem easy. Just like they make it seem like all those surgical shows are easy.

natalayjones, they aren't showing difficult labors they just aren't. If they showed babies coming down the birth canal like I said before I would prefer that because then kids will really see the impact babies have on the body when they are coming out. Having kids is not some kind of fantasy land. Again, I don't like that shows like MTV that use the opportunity to capitalize on experiences like this very serious situation only to make money. I don't find this entertaining or captivating and some do, to each his own.
