Yeah from what I've read so far that blow to the head sounds like the most likely scenario. I'll certainly keep his family in my prayers.

Good grief!!!! Now Billy Mays??? He irritated the cr*p out of me but to die at 50 so suddenly? Sounds to me like he had a severe concusion(sp?) or possibly the subdural hematoma that was suggested before. A person should go to the ER for an x-ray after any blow to the head. (look who's talking, I never go!) No one should go to sleep after a blow to the head. That's what happens, you die in your sleep.

My condolences to his family. He really did love his work.

Yeah, Billy Mays was so full of life. He had a great personality (based on his interviews), was passionate about his work, and become successful without college and lived the American Dream. Sure, not everyone appeciated his infomercial, but he became successful off of them! Just a powerful personality that was a part of my life (tv commercials) and now there is a very small hole in me.

I hope the Mays family recovers from this.. but he made a good money, so at least they don't have to worry about that side of things.

I've hit my head hard too.. And never went to the ER even though I could have had a concussion.. I think I will next time..

He was only 50 & in good health. I bet it was the airplane incedent that contributed to his unexpected death. RIP BILLY !

No. That is pretty obvious fact. A third grader would have enough logical thought to conjure up a lawsuit idea.

You should be glad you didn't waste your time! It is a "wrongfull" idea.

I have to admit when I first saw Billy on tv pitching the oxiclean and then other products I guess I thought he was a sleazy salesman. Then when I saw an interview with him on the CNBC As Seen On Tv special that showed us an insight to tv salesmen, I saw his real personality. Then his discovery channel show pitchmen showed us what a decent, funny and enthusiastic guy he really was.

And even though many of you couldn’t stand his loud pitch, you have to admit, he was a hell of a salesman.

What a loss.

I agree. I'm glad his annoying voice told me about OxiClean. It has saved many clothing items and got pen out of my couches easily. Thank you, Billy. RIP.

I hate Oxiclean and his voice stepped all over my last nerve; but I never would have expected him to die so young.

Peace to his family.

Billy was scheduled to have hip replacement tomorrow. Hip replacement @ 50 is not common.
