Omg, that Penny-Amy thing is HILARIOUS.
It totally makes sense...a girl with no real friends finally makes one, and of course she does as expected: latches on and idealizes.
Penny: you will never believe what happened at work today…
Leonard: what happened?
Penny: I saved a mans life! He was choking.
Leonard: did you Heimlich him?
Penny: No, I yelled, "That man’s choking!: and the busboy Heimliched him.
Leonard looks at her funny and says, rather drily: Wow. You’re a hero.
Penny: Well, that was the point of this conversation.

I loved it too. I thought it was a bit "Sheldoneque" on Penny's part though . Something Sheldon would say, kind of taking credit for something he had a part in sort of but didn't actually physically do.

LOL I've often thought there should be some sort of subplot where Penny and Sheldon are involved in the same incident and have differing stories where both try to take credit for something neither of them did.

We had a flashback episode where Leonard told how he came to meet and move in with Sheldon. I'd like to see Sheldon's side of story.
One last thought about last week's show--what did you think of Leonard saying: "I promise I will never ask you to marry me again," adding that when she’s ready, she’s got to do the proposing, and he wants to "be wowed."
Anyone else think they're setting the stage for the final episode (maybe in another year or so)? I could see the show ending with Penny trying to come up with a way to pop the question that would sufficiently "wow" a science nerd.
I really don't care for the show. Typical youngster immature humor and of course with most younger shows today, most of the males act more feminine than the females. Freaky, not funny.
Do tell: how is this "typical, younster, immature humor" and how are you the expert on that? You can't put it out there and not have one single example. Of course, this is just your opinion, but I think this show is anything but typical.
