Rap City was good until it became Tha Basement and Big Tigger freestyled on every single episode I hated that - they'd be in the booth with Eminem, Jadakiss, 50, Xzibit, and somehow Tigger is the only one on the mic

i saw a preview for frankie and neffie last night. it's sad that they took over keisha's show. it's even sadder that they have become celebrities and people actually want to watch them. what will be next a show about the housekeepers of rich and famous people. i wish bet would start showing videos again and stop all the reality nonsense.

They are making more reality shows- how is that any different from almost every.other.network?
Are we assuming Chilli or Pepa's show is going to be embarrassing before we even view it?
I watched very little of Keyshia's show since everytime I saw it, I saw her unkempt sister screaming at some man while her kids were around. The mother, I can't even take. In a sense it was smart of her to let them have their own show. They can be outrageous as they want and she doesn't have to be around, plus it will garner sympathy for her. Not to mention the money they make from that show means the less she'll have to come out of her own pocket to fund Neffe's next addition, and Frankie's addictions.
Tiny and Toya wasn't so bad, they showed their struggles instead of focusing on shopping at Phipps Plaza. The worst part of the show was their accents and Tiny's overuse of botox.
Let's face it, the network isn't about furthering the culture, it is about making money for the execs and giving publicity to the celebrities who are featured. Look elsewhere for enlightenment.

I think that's our point: WHY must we look elsewhere for enlightenment? Case in point -- TV One has managed to give enlightening shows (Unsung), as well as sitcoms (all the old faves). Why must BET cater to the lowest common denominator? Especially since there are others in society who view that as a "window" into the black community? The CEO of BET was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and she said BET is trying to change their image with their fall line-up. How can that be if they're still showing these reality shows? We all know that the more drama the show has, the better the ratings. So no, I don't have to see the Chilli and Peppa show to know it's going to be a hot mess; it has to be in order to stay on the air. It may start off tame, but trust me, the one with the issues is going to be the one who gets to most air time.
Keyshia Cole didn't want her mom and sister to have a show, but evidently there isn't anything she can do about it. I don't care how financially stable they will become, they're still her family and I'm sure she doesn't want them to publicize their dysfunction.

Because BET claims to be different from almost every.other.network. Anytime a black person is shown in a negative light on another channel the BET executives come out complaining then they turn around and do the same thing.

I read somewhere she was upset with them over how the edited the show. They barely showed her in the studio or working because they were so busy focusing on her families issues. She should have known that when she signed up for the show. After her little drama with the man claiming to be her father, she became a supporting character.

Oh my goodness their accents, I barely understood what they were saying. Tiny looked nothing like that in the Xscape days. I dont understand why these celebrities mess up their faces when they look just fine. As for Toya, she acts like she is obsessed with her ex-husband rapper Lil Wayne. Who has moved on and is rumored to have two women pregnant by him at the same time, actress Lauren London and r&b singer Nivea. Also he just had a son by some woman at the beginning of this year. Sad
