I am offended by this show. If this show is "by the people that bring you the Bachelor and Bachelorette then why name it something else, just because they are heavy? Why isn't it just the Bachelor and Bachelorette and it happens to have heavy people on it? Does that mean when our first Bachelor and Bachelorette with people of color premiers it will be called "Color Blind" or something like that? It is stupid.

Didn't watch it, and the fact they put the women's height and weight on the screen is just disgusting.

I looked forward to the show ever since I heard about it.
There were lots of beautiful women on the show and I'll be tuning in every week.
I tend not to be a big fan of dating reality shows because they tend to pick the women who act like they can't live without finding "the one" to "settle down with." ::eye roll::
I'll just be tuning in for the eye candy.

It's like those candy bars that are king sized. They catch your attention but you leave them on the shelf because you know it's not good for you.

I watched a little of this with my mom last night. She kept pointing out how some of the women came off as too needy, and I agreed. However, we also agreed that compared to some of the other dating shows that we've seen, like Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, etc, that this one seems more "classy". Although i'm interested in what the flower fight is all about.

NJ - yes, I'm kidding about Flav. But I loved his show. It was like the Bachelor in reverse. Instead of "classy" women, Flav had all skanks on his show. Loved it!!! I'm going to tivo this show (MTL) and watch it when my husband isn't around. I want to see it, but he hates these kinds of things. Well, okay, neither of us can stand whiny, weepy, desperate women - but I still want to watch it!

This thread isnt mean spirited at all. I dont think the TV show is mean either. You dont see any shots of them riding horse carriages on dates with the carriage leaning to one side (ala Gilbert Grape's mother when driving) or shots of the pool after they all got out and there was only 2' of water with 1' of wesson oil left, or when the host says its chilly outside and all the women scream and run to the kitchen to grab forks before running outside, or how the official jeans sponsor of the show isnt Levis 501s but 1002s, etc.
Those types of things would be mean spirited. But this is a show about love, finding true love. Which is why we are talking about it. I'd be willing to bet the farm that the Fatchellor will pick the smallest girl (see my earlier post for her pic) though.
