The 3 that I bolded are ones that I don't agree with. These three shows I like and wouldn't want to see retired. That also goes for Supernanny.
The rest of it I do agree with, as well as 97-98% of the reality shows that are on television today.
I believe that American Idol will start to go downhill soon now that Paula Abdul is gone. That's just a prediction.
Shows that feature skills or talent like SYTYCD should not be lumped in with the rest of shows featuring people that just want their one minute of fame and just want share their personal lifes. Color me not interested. BTW - the dancers on this SYTYCD are amazing and professional level. Adam Lambert might never have been discovered if not for American Idol.

I completely agree with all of this. I don't think Tyra Bank's talk show has been on for that long though, but neither has Wendy Williams and I want her retired so I guess why not. I especially agree about the CSI. I think that the whole crime-drama genre has been over done at this point. I hope they find something new. Does anyone agree with that? Oh also all of these stupid cake shows and food competitions are boring. I'm getting bored with competitions.
If all the cheapest shows to produce, 'reality' shows, were cancelled today, you'd be looking at nothing but test color bars on every channel. Which actually have the same entertainment value. Channels like Bravo use to show quality. Now it's just 'real housewives' and CSI Miami or showing 'True Lies' for the 57th time. USA shows 8 new episodes of L&O-CI and a commercial says, watch season finale Sunday night.
Cable companies get revenue from commercial time, they get paid by cable /sat companies to carry their channels. We pay cable/sat companies to watch this garbage. Remember this the next time your cable/sat company bill has an increase in fees.
So if most of us dislike them so much, why are they so popular?
