Two Brits as judges of American Idol? Who are the Spice Girls?

I think two UK judges choosing the next American Idol makes no sense. Don't we have any Americans who can judge talent? Nothing negative on the British.....but geeze....they should be judging their own.
If they DO decide to go with a UK judge, I guess she has a lot of experience and will probably be a fun snarky kind of judge.

I think they do have their own show and Simon is a judge on that show as well.
I really feel Paula go the raw end of the deal. I don't think she would come back if they wanted her. She has been publically humilated.

After reading all the comments in this thread I guess the show was never about all the kids pursuing a dream and amazing us with the talents of Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, and Carrie Underwood. I'll continue to watch the show to see the next singing star showcase their talent. I don't care who the judges are. If I cared about the judges I would have stopped watching from day one.

No, shes a poor choice for the show. Like Posh Spice from the Spice Girls
should be a judge for American Idol, her hubbies great, but she needs
to get over herself.
I wonder who would be a good choice, I'm going to think about that for a bit.

Another medicated judge!
They need to have someone with witty banter, intelligent, and a sober disposition. Not a mute zombie.

The sad part of this is that the judges can sway the audience with their comments.

To me that's the good part I think we'd end up with a bunch of Sanjayas and other dreck if it was solely phone and text votes with no judging.

The public does listen to the judges and I truly don't think VB will add justice to the panel. She will take up space and look pretty. I think Paula nutured many of these young talents and was very supportive. VB looks grouchy and in need of a sandwich.

LOL! Agreed - especially with the last two points Paula was always good for a laugh, some sweetness, and more drama. I just wish they'd stick with 3 judges - 4 is too much.
