I am really disappointed in their choice of "celebrities" for this season, but I'll watch anyway because I enjoy the professional dancers, the judges, the costume designs and the dancing itself.

Well, OK. Maybe sleeze was a bit harsh. How about "slime"? Does slime work better? I think it does!

The Exterminator was on Sean Hannity today and announced Cheryl Burke will be his partner. She has my sympathy. Is he arrogant or what? Hopefully, DeLay will always dance last, because the floor will have to be de-slimed before the next couple performs. I hope some group sets up a voting bloc to eliminate him first.
Clip:
“She’s very patient and very kind,” DeLay said of Burke.
The former House majority leader from Texas also said he expects that his dancing role will be much like his role in Congress.
“This is just like my time in the House,” he said. “I’ll count the votes, I’ll whip the votes, and she’ll do the dancing”
“After what the Democrats have tried to do to me over the last 20 years? Those judges can’t touch me,” he quipped.

I completely agree. The cast is not appealing and most of them have been out of the "spotlight" for a while. It seems like more famous celebs would totally join in on this show...kind of lame..

Dancing With The Stars...New Season -September
I realized too late that the new season had started last night. Is this season 9 then? It seems like the other one just ended.
I missed it due to weather and power outages. What did everyone think about it? Did anyone stand out more than anyone else?

Several standouts this year, and no really bad contentents. The judges seem to be extremely picky, especially Len. It was interesting to see all the men together and all the women together as well. Wednesday is the double elimination. I think this will be a good season.
I am not a reality show fan, but have been avidly watching The Colony on Discovery and always watched Dancing with the Stars. I really do admire them for their nerve. I have no illusions that its not so easy as it looks. Its rather cool seeing someone blossom with undiscovered talent.
I don't mind competitions when there is some point to it, like with Design Star or this. Its the mindless sheep appealing stuff that really wastes power.

Tom Delay and Macy Gray should definitely be the ones to go home.
Im rooting/voting for my homeboy Dmitry and his dang sexy partner Mya. That girl has an incredible body/booty on her.

Both seem to fit. Maybe creepy and skeevy too?
