I love The Grinch and would have otherwise loved this episode, but one line I found so disturbing that I did not enjoy the show. I thought it was really inappropriate for Sue to metion the Mai Lai Massacre in jest.

The principal got really sick a few weeks back, so Sue stepped in as interim principal. She did such a good job, the parents signed a petition for her to stay. A couple of weeks ago, before Kurt went to the Warblers, Sue announced the principal was coming back and she was going to go back out into the halls. I saw him in last night's episode listening to Glee sing the song from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, so I hope that means he'll be back soon. Sue was better at terrorizing the school from the halls.

The part of the story that's going to get on my nerves, if it happens, will be Will's ex-wife getting pregnant as a result of their lapse a few weeks ago, when he was sick. It's like the writers had to do something, since Emma had moved on.
And Rachel is getting on my nerves so bad right now! She's so self-centered and egotistical, it's almost nauseating! She tried to hurt Finn because he had sex, so she tried to have sex with Puck. I'm glad Puck wouldn't go there, but I'm surprised she didn't think Finn had a reason to break up with her. She knew how Quinn and Puck hurt Finn, which is why she picked Puck in the first place! I want Finn to be happy, but I think he'd be better off if he left Rachel alone for a little while. She needs to know she can't just say sorry and all is forgiven!

Rachel is a typical teenager -- they're all self-centered. And she should remind Finn that he's a hypocrite, seeing as how he cheated on Quinn with her! He seems to have forgotten their little picnic and making out with her until he, ahem, remembered his mother hitting the guy with her car.

I know teenagers are self-centered - I have a 17-year-old - but Rachel takes it waaaaaay over the top, to the point of being unbearable! Especially since none of the other kids in the show are as over the top as she is. And for as dedicated as she seems to being a star, why is she relying solely on Glee to get her there? Why don't we see her going to auditions for local plays or singing groups? I haven't seen any growth from her from the first season to now; it looks like she's going backwards as far as development. Unless I missed it, no one has approached her about being a star after any of her solos, so at what point does she get the hint that she may not be the star she thinks she is?

Glee Spring 2011 News and Updates
Just read that Gwyneth Paltrow is confirmed for 2 episodes this spring...YAY!
Loved the episode she was on!
She will play Mr. Shue's love interest and teach sex ed. Should be good.
Also, for those who don't know Darren (sp.) who plays Blaine is a major arc and will be around perhaps through season 3. LOVE HIM.

Good to see Gywneth coming back. She was good in her guest spot last year. So was Carol Burnett. Gave us an idea of why Sue is the way she is. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the season. Hoping the writers tone down Rachel's self absorbtion.
