I guess the old Mickey Rooney movies were better----"Hey kids. let's put on a broadawy musical." They would have all the props and sound like a professional musical would at the end of the movie. No, come to think of it I didn't like that either. LOL

A BIG part of what makes Glee so, well, gleefully fun, is its bizarreness.

But it also has its stunningly beautiful moments, like when Rachel asked Kurt to join her in recreating the famous medley by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland, Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy.
AGREED!

The whole show takes a fairly simple premise and then takes it to the extreme. If you take it too seriously you miss the fun. At the same time however, the show tackles some serious issues underneath it all.

"Glee" keeps getting better and better. The "Happy Days Are Here Again" duet was a highlight of the season for me and instantly went on my Ipod. Wow, their voices are stunning.

And the Dalton Warblers, in real life Darren Criss and the Tufts Beezlebubs? I LOVE THEM!!! I think I will like anything they sing. Completely great.

I only hope they will keep giving Kurt (Chris) some more solos...he has an amazing voice.

Also love Sam and Quinn...glad they are showcasing them more.

I've noticed that since Kurt went over to Dalton, he hasn't had any solos. And Finn is rarely put front and center, either. Darrin Criss seems to be taking over the show, with the exception of Puck. I get the feeling they're giving Puck more solos and/or up-front time to help promote the actor's RL album he just recorded.

DON'T READ if you don't want to know where they're going with these two.
Spoiler
Sam and Quinn will be breaking up. The writers decided they were too "sweet" together and wanted to jumble things up.

I believe the last solo Kurt had was after he was at Dalton, he sang "Don't Cry for me Argentina" (well, Rachael sang it too but they didn't sing it "together").

And he blew it out of the water, IMO. Also, he did have the duet with Darrin of "Baby, it's Cold Outside".

I LOVE LOVE LOVE having Darrin Criss on the show, but not at the expense of Kurt getting singing time.

I would like some balance there!

But, Darrin Criss is the one who got Glee their first #1, (for "Teenage Dream"), so I don't think they'll be cutting that anytime soon....and I wouldn't want them to. He is fantastic.

Yeah, picked up on that about Sam and Quinn....

Finn had major songs on the super bowl show, he was the lead in "Thriller" and he sang "She's Not There" with back up.

And the Warblers are pretty much Blaine and the Pips.

It's a show about glee club--I'd like to see more group numbers where everyone's involved and less solos using the group as backup dancers.

Yes, but I would bet the producers do not think that "group sings" translate to #1 singles.

They need songs that will cross over to radio and Itunes.
