I 'm not sure if I got the title right or not but the commercials reminded me of the show Fame. Does anyone remember it but me.

Default Glee Club

Did anyone watch the pilot last night? I Tivoed it so I watched after AI voting ended.

It was really good! Unexpectedly good. I suppose you could say it's a cross between Freaks and Geeks, Grease, and High School Musical with a bit of the whimsy of Pushing Daisies. The teaser at the end of the episode for the whole season looked really good too. I think it will be a huge hit....or at least I'm hoping it will. At least it's on Fox so they'll give it a chance. I can't wait for it to start up in the fall.

My teen daughter and I watched it together and really enjoyed it! My only complaint was that the teens all looked a bit too old for their parts. It seems like it could be a hit - I hope so!

We thought it was pretty awesome, too. I love Jane Lynch, so I had hope for it. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Fox gives it a chance.

I LOVED the pilot! It was great and I have a feeling it will do really well. I agree the kids did seem much older than 11th/12th graders though, especially the male lead. (My husband thought he was the teacher LOL.) I am really looking forward to seeing more in the fall!

I liked it too! I was expecting it to be a summer series, so I was disappointed to find out that I have to wait until the fall!!!!

Looks like it really might be a hit already - the Don't Stop Believin' single by the Glee Club cast is already in the #2 spot of song downloads and the #1 spot of ringtones on iTunes.

I've also checked around the net for reviews and the critics are loving it!

In the coming season musical theater star (who played the Pushing Daisies character "Olive") Kristen Chenoweth is joining the cast. According to E!Online (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watc...o_leaving.html ):

Quote:
"She's kind of a drunk, a has-been. She's squatting in a McMansion in town, but she's still got it. She's got the voice, she's got the moves and she really shows the kids how to put it on." Also making guest appearances on the soon-to-be Fox hit are Josh Groban and Victor Garber. Also, good news coming from executive producer Ryan Murphy: "There's going to be a series of albums where we put out an album every couple of months because we will have so much material. Also, we're going to have all of the songs when you watch the show available that night immediately on iTunes."

Loved it. Great idea, funny sarcasm and definitely has potential. Here's hoping it will actually catch on.

I was looking forward to this show but was disappointed. I don't like the whole fractured relationship thing going on with his wife. Also, I agree about the kids seeming too old but also so outdated.
