What Television Commercials Do You Find The Most Annoying Or Shown Too Often?
I can think of three, right off the bat:
(1) The Free Credit Report one...That music drives me nuts...and the "kids" telling us about credit issues is implausible.
(2)Those Geico ads...I love Geckos...we have them on our property...but really...enough already...Plus they just annoy me and those cavemen do too. And now stacks of money...watching us with BIG eyeballs.
(3) Ally Bank a subsidiary of a car company that the taxpayers bailed out. You know; where the kid wants a pony. One gets the shaft(consumers) and the other gets a real live pony. LOL.
These are a few that bother me; COME ON...Get it off your chest...What commercials do you hate!.. But watch anyway...LOL.
The one for -- is it Lennox? It shows all thes guys dressed in different color tights, sitting round a house, all have "bad air" things written on their chests like "dust" "odor" etc. The homeowners are kicking them out of their house because they have some new air filter.
The commercial itself is rather cute, I suppose. The thing I have a problem with is the VOLUME! I can have my tv sound level set in the low/normal range and go to the basement or to the opposite end of the house and suddenly I can hear the music and voiceover playing. Loudly! Maybe it's my AT&T U-verse, maybe not. It's just a LOUD commercial and it's noticeably jarring. What's the deal, Lennox? Do you think irritating me is the way to sell me something?
Actually everything that kid on Free Credit Report cracks me up, because it is so true. I should know! You would have to have screwed up your credit to really get those commercials. I hate that stupid geico freak guy and that annoying progressive lady!
A close second is the Cottonelle commercial with the puppy going to the spa for a day of pampering. At the end he says he's "lookin' sexy". Since when do you need a puppy to sell toilet paper and on what planet is a puppy "sexy". Creepy is more like it.
The Charmin ads with the bears with TP on their butts is wrong too.

And don't you just love; that a few years ago; Congress declared that TV stations never increase the volume on their commercials....

Oh I know the quickie message they deliver on the roller coaster gives a simple but effective young adult view of credit...but it is a bit more complicated than that. I just do not like the song/music...it sticks in one's head....LOL....
