I pulled wikipedia on that a while ago. It looks like his first assistant coaching position was at William and Mary college from 1961 to 1963. The head coach during Holtz's time there was Milt Drewer. I couldn't find anything, at least right away, to suggest a rift between Drewer and Holtz. I'll try to dig a little bit more on it.

man I hate ND, what a bunch of *****.

no, we won't play in that bowl game, it's not up to our standards.

I was looking at their schedule and out of 12 games they only have FOUR on the ROAD! FOUR!

They play 2/3rd's of their games at home. What an unmittigated joke they are.

Thats whats BS is the NCAA kisses their A** just because they are Notre Shame. Hopefully some of the teams that have a chance to beat them do it, like Michigan St, Nevada, Pitt. USC should whoop'em pretty good.
