Couldn't agree more, watched John Wayne in a movie the other day where he called them "yellow monkeys", how did that get past the PC liberal movie makers?

There weren't any PC liberals back in those days. They called 'em as they saw 'em back then. Liberals kept their mouths shut. Americans were proud to be Americans and could say and show it.

Kate, It's not you....Guadalcanal was a confusing time....for all concerned....they met with light resistance on day one and then heavy and then light...my Dad had dysentary for the two months he was there on the first tour. [lost 20 lbs]

I often wondered how he handled the high "G" pull out from a divebombing run with the "Jungle Runs"

Plus, it's reallllly hard to follow things iat night lol.....

I think BoB did a much better job in the first few episodes of getting to know the main players. i was hooked right away on that. Pacific is a little harder to follow and I have had to ask my wife a few times about who this guy was or that guy. We have had to rewind a couple of times to figure it out.

I hope this is as good as BoB but so far it is not impressing me. I am going to continue to watch it and hope it turns around though.

No I don't think it's boring just a tad confusing, I don't think there was a long enough intro to the main players....I don't know who the hell is who...that's why I'm going to rewatch

I can't compare to BoB as I didn't see it but hubby did and he says pacific isn't holding up
