I wish they kicked Kanye out and invited Taylor Swift to come instead. I think the ratings would have gone through the roof, and it would have been the slap in Kanye's face needed!

I was looking forward to the JL Show at 10 last night. It was ok. Nothing to write home about.
Seinfeld is always good for a laugh and his Oprah bit was humorous. I never liked that Kanye West clown, especially since his post-Katrina outburst. (The award show debacle was further proof that he is a self-serving moron.) Didn't care for JayZ, but that Rhianna woman was quite striking and talented. Headlines were ok. I liked watching the girl react to the car wash entertainment too.
In the long run, they were trying too, too hard to distance themselves from the former JL Tonight Show, but using the same mechanics. They should have had Kevin play the same music and intro's to the bits that we're used to. They should have even also kept Stuttering John Melendez around as the announcer. This show is geared to the audience that's probably not going to watch Conan, so keep the Tonight Show mechanics that work!
And yes, I'll continue to watch the show.

Great idea. There was no excuse for his behavior. He's an adult. He should conduct himself accordingly. We've all lost loved ones in our lives. And to some extent, we all have something we feel passionate about. Bust most of us know to use a "common sense" filter when expressing our views/opinions in public.
As far as Jay's show goes, I'll give it some time before I make up my mind. Loved the uninvited comedian guy's rant about airports/airlines. Thought the car wash entertainment skit could've been better. Liked the "interview" with Obama. It seemed like Jerry & Jay weren't in sync to play off of each other's comedic skill/timing.

I like Jay. I really do. And I gave it a shot again last night. Eh!
To have it on 5 nights I don't think is going to work for me though.
Just not something I'll keep watching the clock for.

Maybe they should follow the Daily Show's model, 4 nights a week?
Maybe a M/W/F and intersperse it with something like Dateline.....

The "uninvited comedian" last night was good. I too loved the airport/people comments he was making.
I'm thinking this M-F every night gig might just be an "intro" as a lot of other shows have ended their "season". Once the regular Fall lineup gets rocking his show might cut back to once or twice a week. At least I'd think so.

I must say that I'm disappointed by it. Maybe they're all trying too hard. But it isn't as good as the old Tonight Show. I'm a Dave Letterman-Craig Ferguson watcher. They are much more natural and casual. Kevin Eubanks is a great guitarist, though.

Have to admit that my opinion of Michael Moore and Jim Norton have gone up due to their appearances last night. They were both pretty good!

I have to agree. And Michael M. singing - he picked what was probably the best song he could have for his image.
