Default How To Get a TV Star's Autograph

I don't know if this still works but I can tell you a way I used to get photos and autographs of some TV stars. You have to write to them (snail mail) in care of the show before the show premieres. When the TV Guide or some similar publication announces the premiering new shows, look through it for the shows you might like and will watch and write to one of the actors before the show actually airs its first episode and everyone else writes to them. Sometimes you don't just get photos, you get promotional material autographed. I even had a few write about a paragraph on the backs of photos. And don't just write to the lead well-known actors. On some of these shows, the supporting actor, especially in an ensemble cast and who you may have seen before in some obscure movie, becomes a fan favorite after the show gets going.

Once they become celebrities, forget about it (which is why this isn't posted in the celebrities forum). Fan mail is a novelty to them if you write before the show and they are a hit and frankly, if they respond, you'll probably be a fan for life.

I'm old now and I don't do this anymore or I probably wouldn't be telling you this.
