Default House

What did you think of the 2 Hour premiere tonight?

There could be some interesting story lines if Andre Braugher was added to the show. JMO

I liked it. I was a little confused by his lady love. I thought she was a hallucination for awhile. Glad he's out of the cuckoo nest and the other characters will be included again.

I was mixed on the episode. Some things I found a bit contrived or difficult to believe but it won't change my loyalty to House. As always, HL was brilliant and gorgeous.

Was not too impressed with the first hour, but thought the second hour was "good". . . . eager to see what (if any) change in charachter is apparent, when he returns to "real life". . . ..

I felt mixed about it too. Loved Andre Braugher and hope he'll be back in future episodes. Agreed with whichever of you said that some parts seemed contrived. I'm also a little fearful that they'll get preachy. There was something "not quite right" - maybe it's just that we didn't get to see his team mates or any hospital cases.

Side note - 13 looked fab at the Emmys!

I enjoyed both hours of the season opener. I have to admit that the second hour was really my cup of tea. I truly loved Alvie and the talent show was just wonderful. I actually had tears in my eyes a couple of times. Wasn't Andre great? I think he is going to recur as Greg's voice of reason from time to time. I sure hope so. What a way to start the season.

The writers still have it. That scene with the music box was exceptional. I almost always love the music on House but they really trumped themselves last night.

I really missed seeing the other characters, too, but the ones in the hospital were exceptional.

I agree with your comments. Sometimes it's nice to see the main character in a different setting. Andre is the voice of reason and, yet, he has some elements of Greg's character - that of a loner. It will be interesting to see if any of Andre's coaching will stick, and if Greg's interactions with his coworkers changes very much. It's the only hospital drama worth watching. I think this was a fantastic season opener.

I didn't miss the ducklings (House's staff) and honestly, they have gotten boring to me: 13 and Foreman, Cameron and Chase. Blech. I love Wilson though, but I wouldn't mind shaking things up a bit.
