Default Morning Joe

I am hooked on Morning Joe. Its not only a great place to go for the political headlines and first level backstories, but a very interesting cast of characters. Anyone else watch and their thoughts?

Same here. I'm hooked. It's a good blend of commentators and shows a good cross-section of political views without a lot of drama. Not to say it doesn't get heated sometimes, but it's interesting to watch.

I drifted away from the regular network morning shows, as they seemed more and more advertising and celebrity driven. Too much fluff and "heart-warming" sappiness instead of news and I was just getting bored. So much of their content was promoting something, pushing the latest fads and trying to appeal to moms. Not much of that on Morning Joe.

I am continuously astounded by the way that Mika is ignored and (subtelly) put down on that show. The expression on her face, when this happens, tells all!

Mika can be a princess. Sometimes her upbringing gets her dismissed by the guys, but overall, I think she holds her own. I love it when she has her Dad on the show ...

I like Scarborough. He's a conservative, but he's not wacky like the fringers. He's truly disgusted by what he sees going on in his party now.

Geist is like the fratboy of the crowd and Barnacle is the curmugeon. All in all, I think it's a great mix.

Mika has definitely grown on me. At first, I wasn't sure about how she fit in with the guys, and their tendency to revert to that "this is the boys' treehouse. No girls allowed!" mentality. She's actually pretty cool and manages to get her views out there without being rude. It's like she refuses to acknowledge when Joe is being a bit of a bully. I still like him, and it is his show, but he can get carried away sometimes. As Domergurl says... he's not a wacky fringer. I wish more Republicans listened to him!

I did see one of the first (maybe THE first) time Mika's dad was on, and he said something that had a bit of a correction to it and she responded "OK, I'm 12 again". Funny stuff.

Can you imagine having to grow up as a little girl in the Brzzzzzzzzzzzzzski house? Joe is a light lunch compared to Mika's dad. I remember one time he called Joe woefully naive one time on the air .. Joe looked like he got punched in the jimmies. It was used for the entire next week.

In my opinion, Mourning Joe is one of the least politically biased opinion shows on the cable networks today.

I love Joe Scarborough, while I may not always agree with him, his opinion seems to always be well thought out.

Joe has half a brain and I also like that they have Pat Buchanan on as well. It's the most fair and balanced show on cable news.

I remember that - it was hilarious. Papa Zbg does not suffer fools lightly - that was classic MJ.

I watch it sometimes, as I am an MSNBC addict, but I find all their viewpoints get mixed up and jumbled and it's hard for me to follow along first thing in the morning. I'd rather watch Robin Meade.
