News, Michael Vick gets his own TV show on BET.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will star in an eight-part documentary series set to run on BET early in 2010, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"I just want people to really get to know me as an individual," says Vick, who served 18 months in prison for animal cruelty charges involving dog fighting.

I understand he will have a new talk show with OJ Simpson being his co-host. Kind of like Ed McMahan to Johnny Carson. K. West is to be the band leader.

So many opportunities for jokes in poor taste on this one...
He did his bid and he's out. I have no interest in watching the show but don't wish him any ill will.

He hasn't paid his debt as for as I'm concerned. Sitting in a jail cell for 18 months isn't going to keep him from killing dogs again.

He never killed any dogs. He funded/bank rolled the business his cousins started. But he got into trouble for his involvement, being in the public eye, and for not telling the truth initially. The guy should have never went to jail. If he doesn't deserve to be forgiven, well Sarah Palin and people who hunt for sport and all the people that run the chicken fights in the South should also go to jail. While you are at it the bull fighters should also be jailed.
It bothers me that in this country people care more about their animals then they do about human beings. There are kids going hungry in this country and around the world, let's worry about them. Our judicial system has spent too much of our tax payer money on this guy. He should have paid a hefty fine.

Yes, Vick did kill dogs himself. Man is a natural part of the food chain. Hunting for food is nature. Vick killed for profit and entertainment. Dogs were NEVER in season. Moose and deer at times are.

Driller 1 - What, they are still animals. What makes one killing better than another and or more acceptable? I just don't get it? Moose and deer are never in season for me. If he wasn't a celebrity he would not have gotten jail time. Too many people are still doing this and never see a cell.
Just because you can sneak up on a deer and shoot it in the head with your big gun doesn't make it better.
