I have always enjoyed the Roloffs but I am beginning to be burned out on family reality shows. Regis Philbin was on some program the other day and said that none of them are "real", not real uncut, unplanned family events and I have to believe that.
Amy seems to be panning for the camera more and speaking out at Matt's expense.
I really like Matt, I think he is a very smart man who has done a great deal d espite his handicap.

I quit watching this show 2 or 3 years ago because I was sick of Amy. I like the little Dr. on The Little Couple so much more. She is such a sweetheart, and I just love her little laugh.
The reason I got so tired of Amy is because Matt would be reprimanding the children, and she always seemed to take the kids sides, right in front of them. Thats wrong.

I agree that they have done much to educate about the types of dwarfism, still fascination that the twins are different, I understand the genetics...
I enjoyed seeing the other "littles" in their life and going to the conventions. I think they have opened that part of the world up to the rest of us. I would just like it to end on that and not drag the marriage issues into it.
Can't we just have a little happy ending?
BTW I when I lived in Oregon I drove past their place many times before this show. There was a particular nursery I used for my garden and it was on the same road. That sign was there along time before there was any product. The appearance that thier place is in some seculed are is a riot, it is right off a main highway.

Watched last night for the first time in ages. It is evident to me that Amy can't stand Matt. His dreamer ways have hardened her. The kids barely listen when he speaks. While I can fully understand Amy's concern for their financial future, do they think we are stupid? This family has made a fortune off that show and speaking engagements. We have seen them go from that small unfinished house to first adding a deck. They were so excited. Next came the pool. How nice for them. Then, the new addition. We'd all enjoy a new addition to our homes. Now, the place looks dowright palatial. With that beautiful home, it is still a mess. If they can't get those 3 lazy, disrespectful kids to help, then hire someone! They can afford it.
Oh, and let's not forget all the amazing trips they take which you know darned well are comped.
I'm not buying the "We need to plan for our financial future" crap.
Listen Amy..let Matt have his toys and build his fantasies. At least it keeps him out of your hair and it is clear you can't stand his presence for more than 5 minutes at a whack.

I hadn't watched this show in forever, but when I got out of the shower last night the boys had it on and I was surprised to hear Amy mention divorce and them not having anything in common when the kids left. Shouldn't that be something a couple figures out before making a commitment? Their house is beautiful or it could be if they would keep it clean.

at least 50% of marriages end in divorce sometimes years later---people change and sometimes not for the better and as one gets older sometimes you expect your partner would mature and get some sense---often that doesn't happen!

You have to give Matt credit for having moxie! I wonder how the death of Mike impacted the marriage,

I wonder if Matt would be as motivated if he wasnt so limited physically. I dont think he takes anything for granted. I think Matts mind probably runs 100 miles an hour all the time and he cant shut it off. Amy is a lot more laid back.

I stopped watching this show two seasons ago. I really can't stomach this family. The lack of respect and discipline of the kids drove me crazy.
