Will the Jay Leno Show be the largest tv bust in history?

I didn't think he was all that funny on the Tonight show, but then again, there is no one on the planet who could ever compare to Johnny Carson.

you got that right Charley. I thought it was a HUGE mistake giving him Johnny Carson's job. Leno has never and never will be funny nor someone who is able to interview others.
As for the OP's question: Will the Jay Leno Show be the largest tv bust in history? It already is.

I don't like his show but he is getting about the same ratings as the other NBC shows and it's a lot cheaper to make his show compared to a scripted show. I don't think NBC will cancel it any time soon.

Comparing his ratings to other NBC shows...pointless. The whole network sucks. The problem is that Leno is killing the local newscast ratings. That is bad. Local affiliates do not have to air Leno and some are considering dropping him on their own.

it was a stupid idea from the get-go. Leno had a chance of leaving a decent legacy when he left the Tonight Show, now that's trashed b/c of this mess. where are all the Leno fans who vowed to never watch the Tonight Show when Conan got it? I'd figured that they'd follow Leno to the end. doesn't look like it
NBC is going further down the toilet everyday. they're going to need a miracle in the form of a good drama at this point

the local affiliates in Boston tried not airing the Leno show and NBC threatened to yank their NBC status away from them. as crappy as NBC has become, it's better than the alternative of them losing NBC altogether

I am still just so pissed off that NBC cancelled a great program (well written, thought provoking), Southland, because of the Jay Leno hour - its like they are begging to be put out of their misery over there.

NBC Affilates just are going to have to deal with it because NBC is not cancelling Leno's show
