Default Latino in America (CNN)

Man, Hollywood is waaaay behind the curve. The Latino market is huge! They profiled this Latina actress (who by the way speaks five languages) and untill recently she was still playing maids, talk about slow.

BTW if you've never been to LA you would never know how many Mexican Americans there are by the way Hollywood works.

If you've been to Florida, you'd never know you were still in the United States! Sounds like maybe the same with LA.

True LA is saturated with Illegals but their children are Americans and that market is and is going to be huge! I'm surprised hollywood has not really tapped into that market yet. But you are starting to see "changes".

I didn't know they did one on Latinos. When did this program premiere? I agree with you on Hollywood nit though....lots of groups are underrepresented.
You'd also think there are no Asians in this country if one relied on H'wood for demographics. And almost every major city in the US, has a Chinatown, or any other Asian enclave. Weird right ?

Indeed! CNN had a week long series on Latinos in America. What I was getting at is there is sooo much money right there! Latinos are the largest minority group and growing so I was scratching my head wondering why it's taken Hollywood so long to cater to that group. But I do see changes (George Lopez, Ugly Betty,Eva Longoria).
