I posted a piece from NPR earlier in the thread. TWC needs people to watch for more than five minutes so that the advertisers feel like they're getting their money's worth. Checking in for 5 minutes to decide if you need a jacket or not doesn't do that. |

TWC used to be like crack for me when I lived in the Midwest and a winter storm was approaching. I find myself needing it far less out here in SoCal. Plus, with the weather reports on the internet... who needs it?

I don't like what the weather channel has become. The programming they have on now is irritating, especially when you just want to find out what the flipping weather is going to be for my area.

I actually kind of like the weather channel. It is much more accurate than watching the news. The news is always wrong.
