While I do not have 19 children I have a child that was born emergency caesarian section prematurely and I find your posts vile and tasteless. I truly hope none of you have to watch your child through an incubator, glove and robe up to touch them, learn what a healthy pulse o2 is and become accustomed to the alarms, buzzers and codes being called on your child.
I agree. My dd was not premature but she spent 4 weeks in the NICU. It is a roller coaster of emotions. And we were blessed in that she recovered without any issues.

I agree. The poor baby. I do hope the family does not turn around and make a bunch of shows from the NICU. This should be a private and quiet time for them.

Perhaps you got the smug and sanctimonious wires instead?
I feel bad for the child. Mom and Dad Duggar also. It's a bad situation all around. I'm just appalled that MaDuggar's uterus is being used as a clown car, and the cameras are there to capture every moment, for cold, hard cash. Will the cameras be focused on that poor child? You bet.

Yes, obviously someone who does not snicker at a critically ill child is the one who is wired incorrectly....
This is not necessarily directed at you but why does anyone care how she uses her body? Obviously she is living a life most of us cannot fathom but why the judgment? She is not a child molester, murderer, thief....instead she seems like a pretty good mom who has made decisions that are unconventional to the rest of us.
Have these people asked anyone to support their lifestyle and choices-NO. Apparently the abundance of love they have is enough to be shared by all these children. Blessing and prayers for that tiny blessing.
There's really no need for some of the insensitive and hurtful remarks made by some.
Let's find out who's paying the NICU bill for this baby. I wonder if Joe Bob's pyramid scheme scams make enough to pay the hospital $2 million while still buying enough fabric to make identical early 20th-century dresses for the girls.
He can't have insurance - what insurer would give them coverage for maternity care? 18 pre-existing conditions...
I find it interesting to observe on forums (Relationship forum, for example) that there is a permanent current of a sad thought - how disjointed the society has become, with little social support, with few siblings, if any, living far apart,as well as ailing parents living hundreds of miles away. There is definitely nostalgia for the older simpler days of large families, villages and towns where people knew each other.
And yet when there is a family who lives like that, (whose children will never know what social isolation is), - the very same people who probably cry at night, alone, in a large impersonal city, feel that they need to attack the family?

Pregnancy isn't a pre-existing condition per HIPPA laws.

My husband insurance automatically has maternity coverage. Even if we wont ever use it again.
There's charities that can help with the coverage of this baby's care as well.
I can tell you - its very expensive. If I didn't have decent insurance, I would be paying for 100 years.
