I lost some respect for James, I always liked him but I thought his attacks on Steph were uncalled for. It's one thing for him to be pissed off that Steph was talking while JT was giving orders but he went over the top in attacking her, walking around the camp spouting the same nonsense over and over, he seemed really threatened by her. And his bringing up the past seasons with her being the last one in her tribes, what the heck does that have anything to do with. I did like the fact that Colby and Tom stuck up for her, usually people don't say anything for fear that they are next. I found Rupert to be a "let down" this time around. I mean he's a fun loving guy that always is enjoying everything but he seems out of it this time and has some negativeness about him.
I hope the Heroes will turn themselves around, I mean they win the challenges up until the puzzle part. They just can't put puzzles together. It won't take long before the Villains start to self destruct, as soon as they lose one challenge they will cut each others throats. I don't see Russell making it very long in this season his strategy of making pacts with everyone worked one time but these aren't people that haven't played before, they'll figure him out. I was impressed by Rob taking the lead but I did found myself hoping that he would go home after passing out. I Just don't like him.

I hate the heavy-fisted foreshadowing as much as I hate the overt manipulation of our sensibilities. When an author does that, we scoff at him or her and the predictable, even intellect-insulting ham-handedness--but I suppose an author is presuming a certain level of intellect and reason in the reader, and Hollywood is presuming the American majority as its audience (neither intellect nor reason). I understand there's a lot of boring life to condense, but the idea is for the players to create the storyline through their actions, not for the network to create it using a very selective version of their actions. More proof, as if any were ever necessary, that virtually everything Hollywood touches turns to trash. Some of the trash is entertaining, but in the end it's all trash from the news to the documentaries to the soaps to the movies. Expecting them not to twist and corrupt everything they touch is as naive as inviting the Mafia into your operation and expecting them not to racketeer.

Thanks tami appreciate it.
There was too much going on at the house I went to watch it online today so I didn't get to pay close attention as I would have liked. I did notice that Cirie had her hair almost salon kept at TC looked like she had on makeup as well. I'll have to go back up to see about the outfit changes.
All I know is Colby & Tom now most likely will be the next 2 voted off. Yes I liked they stuck up for Steph but she had it coming I felt from James at the challenge. He should have said his piece then left it alone though he went over the top at TC. They all agreed to one voice Tom says in his after interview that JT asked for help. He didn't know if that meant help move a piece or help figuring out the puzzle. JT should have been more direct in leading his tribe in this challenge. I don't like he has aligned himself with mostly girls that can't help at challenges much. He should have hooked up with Tom, Colby and James.
Rupert is dead weight in my book on the last challenge last week he just stood there mostly looking off in the distant when doing the puzzle. This time he was the great critic sitting watching, don't see him doing much at camp either. Hate saying this but the Hoosier boy & his broken toe has to go.
None of the Heros are going to listen to Tom because he already won his season. The girls need to be voted off soon they aren't bringing anything to the table but future drama I am sure. Steph at least was a hard competitor but she needed to close her trap. Her being the last on her season tribe tells me she was deserving of it not all the crap James was trying to interject.
Heros better get together as one tribe n-o-w or they are d-o-n-e. Strong in the competitions only gets you so far. They should have not lost this week bottom line. Both weeks they were way out ahead then lose it at the puzzle parts.
When they were showing Russell going off in the woods he was chasing the chicken. Don't think he was off HII hunting but I bet he has hunted for it by golly. He doesn't like it that Rob has more survivor "skills" than he does. No matter how ya feel about Rob he rocked making fire without flint, he was in construction they should have listened to him in building their shelter the first time. Still think he is full of poo poo at first he says they said he had the flu then back at camp he starts talking about he's having migraine headaches. They have drained him well which is it Rob one of those or just a big cry baby fit as you said? He is a force to be reckoned with in challenges though.
Anybody see the gut on Coach when he was back at camp doing his kung phooey stuff? Saw Colby up chucking when James & he brought back the last big box. Villians didn't really get much memory time from me tonight. They spent too much time showing Rob & the medics so that gypped the viewers of seeing more of the tribes at camp or during the challenge.
Got to see a lot of Dimples at TC though.
j_k_k I agree Hollywood messes everything up. I wish Survivor would get back to the hardships they endured in the beginning of Survivor. They are losing the point of Survivor it seems. All T&A ratings and fussin' amongst the tribe mates seems more important to the producers to get sponsors.

Jaxson, my condolences to you also, my friend.
James is one of the most memorable survivors to me because of his kind-heartedness. It broke my heart to hear him talking like that. He seemed to be one of the biggest gentlemen, seeing that he's a big hunky stud who respects everyone else, so for him to go on that tirade was just disappointing for me to watch. Maybe paranoia is already setting in. Maybe everyone's afraid of each other because they are all as smart as whips when it comes to the game.
I hope the Heroes come back and start winning. It ain't looking good right now if they keep on the way they are. :-/

Thank you my friend IBfT.
It was hard for me to watch James going off like that too when he did have a point he just didn't know when enough was enough. Now I can't get the thought of him *possibly* being on the juice after reading it on this thread. It would explain his on going angry outburst but I will not say that is the reason only that the seed has been planted. I hope for his sake that isn't the case but he did lose mega points with me watching him in this epi.
Remember last season how Russell's tribe came to the merge being the underdogs and not having the numbers? They stuck together no matter what one of their tribe members did they stuck together until they did have the numbers. That is what the Heros are going to have to do but I don't see that happening the lines were clearly drawn in this epi.

Tamiznlov, very good catch on Ciries' hair. I watched the TC over again and that was some big editing mistake. You wouldn't think that they would need that much at the TC. Tried to rep you, but I must spread the love first.

No problem! Well, it's still very early. Maybe they'll have an intervention and they'll realize that in order for them to advance, they will need to stick together if they want to make it beyond the merge. You're right though that the division has pretty much done them an injustice for now.

Some pretty interesting stuff here in interviews with Stephanie.
About how James and Rupert have gotten all full of themselves and how during the challenge JT just sort of shut down and quit leading when they couldn't figure it out which was when people started chiming in.
Heros vs Villians | Heros vs Villains Featured
I don't know. I always figured that the best strategy is no alliance till individual challenges. If you don't want to go to tribal council you need to work as a team which entails taking stock of what you have on the team in terms of strengths and weakness. If you have 10 out of 12 physical players and those other two are 90 lb weaklings that are super smart at puzzles and memory challenges then the first off will be physical players and vice versa etc.
Rupert seems like he's changed (of course it could always be the edits!) and just sort of shuffles around like he's just waiting for the real game to begin or something. With that toe - I don't know why it wasn't him vs. Stephanie - he would have gotten my vote I think.
I think the below bit is particularly telling. Survivor cast and casting has become a club unto itself and corrupting the whole game. In a way Jeff and Burnett have all become so celebrity and cocksure that, like with anything, its an infection. I am not going to post spoilers but if you go out and do some looking you'll see what I mean.
Matt: Looking across the board at the casting, is there anyone you wanted to see that didn’t make it? On the other hand, who were you surprised to see?
Stephenie: I wanted to see Tina Wesson, Jenna [Morasca], Ethan [Zohn], I wanted to see more of the old-timers. I really enjoyed the show much more in the old days. I really don’t know why Danielle was there, I didn’t know Candice. I didn’t really watch the season Tyson was on, or Coach, or Courtney, or JT. Of course, none of us knew Russell. There were a lot of those new faces, a lot of that sort of “L.A. alliance” and the “Micronesia” alliance. They definitely could have mixed it up a little more with people who knew each other a little less. I knew Tom and that was it. Colby knew Rupert and Rob and Jerri but they weren’t all together…that was sort of a problem, I thought.

Good link, Gis, thanks! I'm stunned about Rupert and James!

Hi there, IBfT! You gonna stick around long enough this season to post with us?
Who do I root for??? My "townie", Boston Rob? Steph's gone, so she's out. Dreamy Eyes? Another mil for Tom? I'm not liking too many this time around, especially after readin' the link Gis posted!

So far I like Tom, Colby and you know Cirie, its not like I love her but she really gets physical in any challenge that involves wrestling, plays both social and strategy and works around camp, some people don't like her but I think she's a pretty good player. I think she should have gone with Steph though and that will be a big mistake on her part. Haven't seen enough of Danielle and some of the other players to know, I guess that's telling. When they start to get a lot more air time they are either on the way out or winning.
Villians, Boston Rob so far, what's not to like? All the others seem to be decent players and no one doing anything too villianous. I didn't like Sandra's move with the bra and really dislike Parvati, she has waaayyy to many advantages and inside tracks. I'm not sure I care who wins as long as its not her, that would just be a travesty
