I've been wondering why Courtney was invited back!? The only thing I remember about her is the skininess the first time around, I thought she was going to die of starvation that season but she looks no better this time around from the get go! What did she do to deserve coming back? I'm drawing a complete blank on her.
Tyson and JT did the fist thing after the villians got whooped in that challenge. Makes me wonder if JT will form an alliance again with Tyson when the merge comes.
I really do hope James changes his "act". I'm hoping it is an act too. I'm hoping he is playing the bully part. I still can't wrap my head around his 180°.
Jax, I'm not totally giving up my man, just there are some more choices now! There was no one else in 19 to root for and he was the only one playing the game! The season Boston Rob was on with Amber, at first I wanted him to win but after seeing him, I jumped ship but this "new and improved" Rob is hard to resist for this townie.

I tried to find this on the Internet but had no luck. I vaguely recall when James was in the China Survivor he chewed someone else out for whatever reason I can't remember. He really poured it on but wasn't as abusive as he was to Stephanie. I think he may have been holding back then but is now allowing himself to just let loose.
I don't think it's worth keeping him if he is going to treat his teammates so badly. Stephanie may have been guilty of what he is accusing her but there is no need to talk to anyone in the manner in which he spoke to her.

I haven't tried to figure out the Courtney thing per se but I do see a lot of comments (by Jeff and fans) about both Courtney and Tyson remarks and actions. I.e. her sort of scathing satiric comments and eye rolling makes good TV. There may be other reasons I don't know.
One thing that Jeff said on his blog that I thought interesting is he said there is a difference btw flying under the radar and riding coat tails although he would have a hard time explaining it. He didn't think this was the episode where riding coat tails would work (but maybe under the radar would?).
As for hardships, I agree, I like to see the hardships so I know that its affecting their judgement. With so many people I don't think it makes the edit. Randy did say in his exit interview that Gabon was much easier geographically, weather wise etc. as a location than Samoa. He said it rained all the time and there were a couple of nights where he got no sleep at all (course if the Villains had built a shelter......)
Personally I really think I'd like the ocean to bathe in like they are always doing but I guess with the rain and bugs....

Lord I hope JT hasn't made a pack with Tyson. Wonder what his team mates thought of him fist pounding & kissing with a villian? I would really like to take him aside and talk to him right now.
Now as far as your man.................................that is why after 10 years I am still with my original 2 fellas. Dimples I was guranteed to see him each season besides being hot & a cutie. Colby because he was the first player to play the game as it was meant to be, won most of the challenges under real hardships as in the beginning of Survivor and still did it with honorability. Plus on his season he was h-o-t now he is still good looking after 9 years. Biggest thing he truly got robbed of the money taking under the radar Tina to the final 2.

atleast Randy can do stuff around camp or in challenges Courtney hasn't even been in the last 2 challenges. And never really has anything to offer.

I like the hardships I think when they all go through it and come out still in the tribe they deserve it. Anymore it is who ya make alliances with from the jump no matter what skills you may or may not have.
Yes at least Randy was fishing Courtney is there to the viewer's eyes and to stir up viewers about why she is still there to tune in next week.

I just read Randy's parting interview link that was posted. I read his mind was spot on with him throwing the buff in the fire.
Quote:

OK. The burning of the buff was completely spontaneous. I didn't know I was going to do it until I did it. It was frustration. It wasn't anger. It was frustration, just like, "You guys don't want to listen to logic? I'm done with you and I'm done with 'Survivor.' I don't need this buff, let's burn it."
|
This is very well said by Randy for all walks in life:

The whole idea of Heroes vs. Villains, there are hero qualities in every villain and there are villain qualities in every hero and it's kinda arbitrary where some of us ended up.
|
We have talked about his idea of old vs young before for a season. It could be interesting as long as all the challenges aren't as rough & strength physical like season 20. If it were there would be a lot of broken old bones.

I remember that as well. I think James has had a temper, but maybe they edited it? Or maybe it wasn't quite so severe. This year I am just shocked. I have always loved James, and he is just a complete jerk.
Rob to my surprise is coming off as a guy I like!! I didn't see his season, so I have no background on him.
I am still hoping for Tom to win. He is such a stand-up guy, understands how the game is played and does not hold grudges.
I was infuriated Tom's season I had no idea the finale was on a Sunday and not Thursday so I never saw it!!! Thank goodness my boss gave me blow by blow details!

Heros having moments of being villians and Villians having moments of being Heros - that's the movie Crash!
I don't know what to make of this season. I have not watched all of the past seasons, so some of these peeps I know and some I don't know. I remember just loving Colby the first time he was on and this time - I don't know - it's like coming back to a high school reunion and the hottie isn't so hot anymore.

I'm not sure about this myself - unless she is the one that "tossed" aside a puzzle piece during a challenge that she was trying to throw. That is sticking in my mind but I can't recall who was a part of that.

Maybe I'm getting squirrely or losing my long term memory...But, where is Richard Hatch? Wasn't he supposed to be there? Did I miss something or did I just forget?

The terms of his parole wouldn't allow it, and the judge wasn't in a flexible mood. It would have been one thing if he'd done drugs, stuck up a convenience store, raped someone, something minor like that. Instead, he blatantly failed to pay protection money to the mob. They resent that a lot.
