Russell will be able to make up any story he wants about why Parvati is still in the game and Courtney is gone. Who's gonna know any different?

The problem is that Russell is VERY good at smelling trouble and if the Heroes decide to try and blindside him, he'll be able to tell just from looking at Rupert's face that something is up.
Even if the Heroes realize that there is no women's alliance, and even if Sandra does flip to give the Heroes a majority, it would be foolishly risky to attempt to blindside Russell since he has an idol (which, if they know that there's no women's alliance, they'll know Russell still has). They would be better off targeting Danielle or Jerri.

But this all presupposes that the Heroes realize that there was no women's alliance. I won't be surprised if the Heroes trust Russell's word on that accord since all the circumstantial evidence points to one existing... And who knows if Sandra will flip.

The other thing is that I could see Candice flipping to the Villains; she seems to hate JT and to feel like she's on the bottom of the Heroes.

This is the 2nd dumbest move in Survivor history. You never give a HII away like that. It only has power to help you if it is in YOUR hands.
I think people need to compare this to other stupid Survivor decisions before they christen it the second dumbest of all-time. For example, as I posted previously, Tyson's move earlier this season was a worse one. Other worse moves include Colby taking Tina to the finals in Australia, Ian giving up at the final immunity challenge in Palau, and Brandon flipping to Lex's alliance in Africa.

Russell wouldn't have needed any influence to get Parv out because you only need one vote if everyone else votes against you when you play the idol. If you watch the CBS insider videos, it appears that the excuse will be that Parv played an idol.

Well, since Russell in theory was controlling who would go home via his idol, he needs to have a credible story. As I said in my previous post, the story they will apparently use is that Parv played an idol herself. The only other credible story I can think of would be that the girls had split the votes 3 Russell, 2 Courtney, so that Russell's lone vote for Parv was insufficient, even with his idol.

As for who's gonna know any different--if Sandra informs the Heroes that Russell is lying, they could choose to believe her.

J.T. is an idiot, and they're all idiots for not looking around them a little harder. That body language expressed between J.T. and Russell would've definitely caused a light bulb and a caution flag to go off in my head. Yet, no one paid attention. Russell would've been on that in a second--maybe not though because he wasn't out idol-searching like he usually does.

I still don't like him, but I think Russell deserves to win. I can't believe I said it.

I know, it does feel strange to say that, doesn't it, IBfT? I am now back on my Dreamy Eye's side. I am so disgusted with all the Zeroes that I've come back full circle. Don't like him one iota more than last season but back on being the best player wagon.

Russell thinks hard and works hard both things I've admired. Its hard to know what really goes on with the edits but damn if a lot of those people don't even seem to be trying to think what happens if, if this then maybe that. I don't want him to win though primarily because he's such a sexist - "I'll just get in an alliance with those women and have them eating out of my hand" just can't get over that. Didn't want Natalie to win either. I wanted Boston Rob to win. Or Cirie, she was a hell of a thinker. I hate Parvo because she is so savvy and personable she doesn't need to use the sex kitten thing and still does and that drives me crazy. Some of the others I "like" but they aren't playing good games! I mean I guess JT is trying but really I think we are all starting to believe that Stephen should have won his season as he must have been the real brains. other I can't think of any Hero's who have a shot unless the suddenly sit up and start playing!
So I don't want Russell or Parvo to win and I don't want anyone else to either If I had to choose btw the two I'd probably go Russell. No I can't!!!! But Parvo.....No I can't!!!!
So I don't want Russell or Parvo to not win most. Which is just seems stupid LOL!

That's what we figured here also until now here I read a CBS insider revealing clue.

tami I knew you would go back to your dark horse when ya said you were watching DWTS to see Kate.

Geisela I'll join ya in that stupid camp because IF Colby made it to the final 2 I would vote for him. Only because he got robbed in his first season. Although he has been stinking in this season 20 I'll stay loyal to him until he is out of the game.

I thinks JT giving up the idol was worse than Tyson messing up the blindside, that was just Tyson being overly confident, this is JT giving up his whole team. I'm not sure what the heck he was thinking, even not knowing who Russell is, he's on the Villains team for a reason. Also how come his team all thought it was good idea? Maybe since he found it they let him control the idol and give it away like. Not sure why the Villain women kept the Heroes thinking they were in an all female alliance. Seems like it would be more beneficial for the women in the merge if the Hero tribe knew they weren't controlling the game.
My girlfriend and I finally watched this episode last night (Tivo) and I was telling her that it had to be scripted no one is that dumb to give up there idol to the enemy even before the merge.

But on a side note another stupid Survivor moment was James getting the boot with 2 immunity idols in his pocket
