In the previews for next week...it shows Sandra talking to Rupert and letting him know Parvati is not running the show and there is no all-female alliance...so we know the merge is next week.

Amanda was the only person who thought it wasn't a good idea to give Russell the idol but sadly didn't say anything to voice her opinion. If she had gone to Colby and Candice and said this was a dumb move, they might have talked JT out of it but alas.....

I have to agree with you on that. This by and far had to be the most stupid thing I've ever seen and the fact that they all (except the blonde girl - Candace?) thought it was a good idea.

Stupidest. move. ever. I didn't think JT would give Russell that idol. But he did. Apparently none of these people had watched Russell's season. Looks like they merge next week. If JT is the first to get voted off he has no one to blame but his dumb self.

Where I come from we call that a sociopath ... but, hey, I guess sociopaths make the best Survivor players.

eww...i don't know about that, think about it...his plan was to GIVE the HII up to his opponent, with the ASSUMPTION that:

1. Russell is about to get voted off
2. Russell is a trust-worthy player
3. Russell will join up with them after merge

think about that! how stupid is that?? (rhetorical question)

on top of that, it wasn't just JT...the WHOLE hero's team bought into that stupid move!!

gotta be one of the most stupid moves in the history of Survivor...

I still think Eric takes top spot for dumbest move of all time.

JT might get voted off next week without an idol, but Eric gave his away at tribal and got voted out right then.
