I was lucky enough to see some of the classics out of the U.S when I was little, in the 1960s. I think my favorite though, was "The Man From UNCLE"...not sure if that was U.S produced. "I Love Lucy", "I Dream of Jeanie", and "Combat" were also compulsory viewing. Oh, and "Lost in Space" I always wanted to be Penny.
Wow! I watched all four segments. I used to love that show, especially the eerie theme music, which they play every time you're supposed to get that spooky feeling.

You know, it's really pretty funny which shows people consider "old." Some people have mentioned shows from the 70s; some don't think of the shows as old unless they were from the 60s. And then there are the few of us who are saying, "60s and 70s are old shows?"
As much as I love old TV shows I like old radio shows even more. For those of you lucky enough to have a High Speed Broadband connection you can find a lot of the old classic TV shows on Hulu.com
So far I haven't had much luck finding a good website with old time radio shows. One I have bookmarked is "onlineradio.com" but for some reason I can never get anything to play. Real bummer.
I grew up in the country with no cable TV so when I graduated and moved to town I got cable. A lot of the shows in black & white that have been mentioned were playing on cable late at night. I was a factory worker so saw a lot of them and enjoyed them.
Here's a few I didn't see mentioned the first 3 I probably didn't see first round:
The Real McCoys
Ma & Pa Kettle
Wagon Train
Christmas specials like Bing Crosby, Osmond family
The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday night
The Tammy movies

Whippersnapper...then there's those of us saying the '50s are old shows....
Good point though...we all have our perspective on what is old. My mother-in-law in hte 80s has hers, my grandfather in his 90s has his.
If you want them for free, you can download them in mp3 format from Usernet Newsgroups.
Except for maybe one or two lost episodes, you can find every old radio show that was ever broadcast.
But, you might have to subscribe to a news server like newsguys.com if your isp doesn't provide expanded newsgroup access.

Are any of you old enough to remember shows like Dragnet, Adam 12 and Emergency? I am collecting DVDs of those shows! I also enjoy Barney Miller and All in the Family on cable! I am OLD I guess.
Hands down, All in the Family was still the best TV show ever aired. The actors were great, the writing was great, and it was ground-breaking.
