I started watching this in the middle so I didn't understand who was who. I rented the series from Net Flix and caught up. I love this show. Dawn French is great. And Julia Sawhali (Saffy from Absolutely Fabulous) is wonderful.

If you have Net Flix or something like them, you might like renting the episodes. I spent two weekend afternoons watching the first few. But then I have no life.
Love the show! I watched all the way through all that Netflix had. I tried to watch the next season on BBC's online TV but it's blocked to anyone outside a specific range. Frustrated. I've got to get back into Netflix and see if the next season is up.

Loved, loved loved both os these. Got them both on Netflix. It is nice to be able to see them from beginning to end.
My wife adores this show. If you like this show, check out Land Girls as well. The first season of that is on Netflix streaming. Subsequent seasons are disc only.
Netflix actually has a great list of these type of productions. I think I've gone through just about all fo them. Love the period pieces.
