Ok, just watched last night's epi and I must say there was one scene that was so freaking hot - I got all flushed. Ya'll know what I'm talking about.

I do like this show! The dynamics between Damon, Elena and what's his face are great. Can't believe we have to wait until fall to find out what happens with Catherine, Elena's dad and bro. Dang!

It is the best show on television in my opinion. The writing is brilliant because they are able to reveal and successfully provide conclusions to small storylines and yet create new ones.

For example, the show's producers could have taken the Lost/V/Flash Foward approach and drawn everything out and taken 3 seasons to reveal Elena's origins but they didn't. They keep everything fresh, they keep introducing new characters, they kill off characters quickly, they introduce new plot lines..The writing is brilliant. Every episode is satisfying and reveals something. Nothing is drawn out...the writers are so confident in their abilities to create and provide imaginative challenges that they don't need to rest on the origins of the show to keep people in suspense.

I thought the season finale was excellent. It gave us everything you want to see in a finale! Looking forward to next season. It should be going down a very interesting path. loved the looks between damon and elena. They really got me with the switch on the porch! I didn't really see the ending going that way.

If you were all paying really close attention during the finale, you may have noticed another element that they probably will be introducing into the story line next season. Mystic Falls isn't home to just vampires. It has werewolves too.

So many clues that gave away the werewolf thing early on in the season. First clue was during the job fair at the school when Tyler and Jeremy were looking at some strange art of these weird creatures (werewolf like) and in a scene where Tyler got mad they showed the moon behind him. And quite obvious is the fact that his father is Mayor of a town where the high schools mascot is the timberwolves!
