The limo scene was very creepy. I didn't think Russell would be in the show as much as he is. The strange thing is he doesn't seem unstable at all, but she does
You're kidding, right? In the scenes, you can easily see how unstable he is, even at the "therapists" office.
The difference in Taylor and Russell's instablility is that Taylor let's it all out, screaming, crying, telling everyone/anyone who will listen what's happening. Russell won't tell anyone anything and he tries to act like father/husband/businessman of the year.
I can see how, at the end, he started losing it. He was sending nasty emails to Lisa, threatened to sue Camille, and who knows what else. Most abusers make an effort to hide their abusive nature and are as sweet as honey to everyone else. Unfortunately for Russell, he started losing it and started getting nasty with other people and they weren't going to take it. They all let him know this at the "White Party" when they banded together and Paul let him know they all saw the email and it wasn't nice. At this point, Russell KNEW that everyone now believed what Taylor was telling them and his little world was crumbling apart.

I don't know much about abusers, but I totally agree that Russell was acting up a storm during that limo ride. His guard was up, and every single word and gesture were part of an act to "appear" normal and sane, and in control, for the cameras. Taylor played along as well - pretending to be having fun, and like she was in love with him, and that she was looking forward to the party. They were both acting, big time! But with her the cracks show, and some reality shows through. But with Russell? Every single moment was a big act - he was as far from real, as it's possible to be.
I don't know how much more of Russell we'll see this season - could that limo ride be his last appearance? If so, it was definitely a revealing look into his frame of mind, at the time.
Russell's monotone and calculated matter of speaking was creepy. You saw a spark of his true nature when he snapped at danapam at Kennedy's birthday party.
Excellent posts from you all. Russell was acting up a storm, to be sure. He tried to downplay the e-mail but it was all over at that point. Psychopaths are like that. It's always "but" with them. My dad came to visit last summer and had - at the age of 74 - an enormous tantrum in my house. He was trying to psychologically hold three adults and one child hostage because he is a brat. When I finally admonished him, after all these years I got "Sorry, but..." No else's feeling matter to the psychopath. To Russell it is normal to threaten Lisa and Camille with lawsuits if he doesn't like what he hears. It doesn't matter if they are telling the truth or aren't actually saying anything. Russell it was okay to threaten, nothing wrong with it.
Judy P., what a weird video! I wonder if that is part of next week? Ken is bizarre. I always got the feeling that he was part of Kim's substance abuse. I think she had a problem far before she ever met him, but I wondered if he was part of it, perhaps supplying her. Now I wonder if he uses as well. He was babbling, incoherent....Did you see Adrienne say, "Wow" and shake her head at the very end?

Definitely he is a possessive whacko but he does not seem suicidal. He is in control and angry.
Thanks so much for the link. I personally believe she should have stayed the full 90 days in rehab and not opt out for the aftercare program, but hey what do I know!!!
I will say that even though Brandi isn't my favorite person, that white dress she was wearing when they were traveling to Hawaii was so CUTE!! And I thought her bathing suit was cute, but I liked Camille's bathing suit a lot more. It was really cute and not overly skimpy.

Yes it is part of next weeks show and along with that he also puts Kyle in her place which I must admit put a smile on my face even thought I don't like Ken.
