This season has really turned the family upside down. Is it me, or are there alot of circus freaky looking people in this season's episodes? I'm glad I read your blog, you all seem to catch so much more than I had, like the missing finger nails, inbreeding, etc.

I too feel that something maybe brewing between Barb and the casino owner's son.

What was Margene thinking marrying Ana's fiance? She's come up with some good ones before. Did you notice in the previews he is touching her leg? Is trouble brewing? About Ana, it didn't appear to me like she was looking for anything from them initially, they just seemed to stumble upon her working at the restaurant, she didn't seem to seek the family out.

The doctor (JJ's son), there is something sinister going on there. I don't think Nikki's mom is preggers, I think he is manipulating something and I think he may start giving it to Nikki also, some type of drug or something.

I wish they would bring back the young gal who was going to marry Roman. She was wicked and played the part so well, they could have gone far with her storylines.

I also liked how Bill's mom after all her apologies and warm words, says to leave the old man behind, isn't she something?

I am really surprised at Bill this season. I guess he was always selfish, but I viewed him as doing it for their faith, the whole multiple wives thing. But this season, he decides to run for office without consulting with anyone, and then to let Don go. What a jerk. Do you think Don will reappear in some sort of act of revenge?

Sissy Spacek is doing a great job in this role. Can't wait to see what happens with her character.

WANDA --- My guess is that many in JJ's clan can't conveive because they are inbred. JJ's doctor that Nikki went to probably specializes in infertility as a result. Wanda only has one kid. I'll bet she needed to use JJ's doctor to get pregnant---invetro. The doctor probably has been keeping Wanda's eggs hostage at JJ's instructions. That is probably what JJ has that is so precious to Wanda. JJ probably had those eggs implanted in Nikki's mother. No wonder Wanda confronted him about Nikki's mother's pregnancy with "what have you DONE?" Afterall, Nikki's mother would be carrying a total inbred freak. Not just inbred once but inbred twice by the conception of two already inbred siblings! Just a guess but that's where I see the whole Wanda/Nikki's mother is pregnant going.

NIKKI --- If I'm right about JJ's doctor, whose sperm is he going to use to invetro Nikki? Certainly not Bill's! Inbred genes are going to infect Bill's clan.

MARGENE --- The only problem I have with Margene's plan is that she has a successful business. She was careful not to hand the revenue over to the Bill's family pot until lawyers are involved, but now she has gone off and married someone without a prenup? Goodness. Margene could lose half of her business to this fake marriage at the time of divorce. If Ana and her boyfriend try to out Bill, Margene files for divorce and the boyfriend gets deported. I don't think that's a risk that Ana and her boyfriend want to make. They might wanted been willing to leave the United States because they had no choice, but they clearly prefer to stay in the United States.

ANA --- Maybe she's not scamming Bill. She could have left the country, but chose to let Margene marry her boyfriend so she could stay in the country. Furthermore, Margene marrying her boyfriend certainly takes the wind out of any plans to blackmail Bill because Ana has now successfully created her own polygomist marriage. Her boyfriend now has two wives---Ana and Margene.

HOLLIS --- I thought that scene was stupid too. It's like the writers just threw it together. Those two voices in the background "Kill them!" "No save Hollis!" were so cheesy! SERIOUSLY, in any real world event, the mob would have gone crazy and simply attacked the people who cut off the cult leader's arm. And I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Hollis. He'll live through this with a mighty chip on his one-armed shoulder.

MARILYN (SISSY SPACEK) --- What bother's me about this storyline is the writers are making Bill right---that she couldn't be trusted. It just would have been nice if Barb was right, showing Bill he doesn't know everything. Bill is such a selfish weasle who needs to be knocked off his pedestal. Barb is a smart woman. I hate how the writers are portraying all of the women as stupid idiots.

BILL THE RESCUER --- Lying to his wife about his where abouts while he was in Mexico to save Ben. Seriously. He could have died and nobody would have known where he was. Okay, let's just face it---I hate Bill.

BILL'S PARENTS --- I'm not surprised that Frank's confession wasn't enough to make Lois care about his welfare. I wish Frank would have died so JoDean could get out of that marriage.

Hopes - you bring up some great points!

I do think that if Hollis let Bill go on the promise of giving him everything - and I didn't think Hollis was asking for his life - more like go back and sign over the Casino and Home Depot - would have gone back to Utah and then fought Hollis tooth and nail rather than follow through on his promise.
So to see Ben convincing Sarah to continue with the family involvement in the senate race and general future by telling her "he would have given up his life" is sort of sad. Just another crab grabbing the Sarah crab back into the barrel.
Because one of the only consistent qualities you see from any of the people is their resounding sincerity and belief in whatever they are feeling right now - be it Heavenly Father is telling me to do this, or I forgive you, or....take your pick - but it only lasts till the next overwhelming emotion and bad decision.

My favorite line of the episode was when Ana told Goran in Serbian that the cult was trying to get her to drink the Kool-Aid again. And Barb was just sitting there completely unaware.

And said "no thank you" to a glass of Kool-Aid!

This is getting really crazy now, I can't believe Margene went and did that not smart at all, and Barb and the owner's son definitly have somethin goin on. I miss Don, and that trip to Mexico was a suicide mission, Bill's lucky his mother was there, he would've died on the spot.

Have this from a very reliable, inside source on the show. One of the wives dies on the season closer. Won't tell me which one. Barb seems too central to the whole thing. Nikki is probably the least liked of the three, but that's too easy. Margene, as well liked by fans as she is, would be the surprise and dispensible one (thogh I really like her). I suppose it could be Anna, but that would be too easy; they could just deport her for awhile until they need her back for the story.

The biggest problem with this show is that it's HBO and features tons of hot women, but the only nudity we have seen thus far is Bill Paxton's flabby ass cheeks. This is a disgrace!

Other than that, it's brilliant. The writing has dipped this year, but not so much that the show is completely lost, as is the case with shows like Weeds in my view.

It would have to be a rather sudden death, not a drawn out illness. Maybe Hollis dies and his man-wife takes eye-for-an-eye revenge and kills one of them. Maybe Nikki going to the freak doctor gets her killed in a procedure. Maybe the Indian's kill Barb. We have to figure out which actor wants out of HBO for doing other projects. The only ones I've seen doing anything is Margene's actress. She has been in a few movies.

Funny! Even as a women, I would rather not see Paxton's rear end.
