I haven't seen that one yet...but i will have to agree: Having a period is a lot like the cat in that commercial. For the first 3 days that is.

"Oh, that's what's supposed to happen!" Love it.

Why would we be embarrassed by tampon commercials? We deal with having our periods every month. It's a pain, sometimes (literally), but I'm not ashamed of it.

LOL... classic!

I don't mind 'em. I don't find 'em embarrassing or anything. I don't care for diaper ads. A while back they used to run a diaper ad that referred to a "runny bm"... and they called it that. What'da'ya say we stop playin' that ad during dinning hours!

As far as the erectile ads and such... the disclaimers crack me up. All that for a hard-on? I'll pass!

Whomever at Kotex came up with the tag line "Have a happy period" needs to be donkey punched!

And the Charmin tag "enjoy the go"... really?!?! And people get paid for that.

I had a friend in college who used to do occasional stand-up. She had a routine that went something like this:

Being a woman, I love TV commercials. Think about it:

A commercial for soap? You see someone in the shower.

A commercial for shampoo? You see someone washing her hair.

A commercial for cold medicine? You see someone with a cold, then ... ah, relief.

Tampon commercials? You see people playing tennis.

After seeing the new Victoria's Secret commercials I think showing commercials for a natural part of every woman's life are tame.

I'm wondering, why so much fuss over a natural part of life and the commercials geared to it? Like I said before, when I was young I was embarassed but as a woman I'm not. How old is the OP and why does she (I assume) have such a hard time with these? Sounds like a throwback to the 50's and before or a very strict theoligy?

Cute schtick, MarkS.

There's nothing embarrassing about a woman getting her period.

Now as far as erectile dysfunction? Well you tell me....
