Hey GB - if you get a chance, keep an eye out for Professional Grade on HGTV. It's a new show. The host is a really good, professional guy. The people doing the renovations are real people who you actually enjoy supporting. And you can learn quite a bit about do-it-yourself around your home and what it WILL cost you.

I think Nina was a plant to keep a not so great show a little interesting. But most grew bored with her antics...

I mean I LOVE the concept of the show. Its the stiff judges ( who used to be warm ) and the half baked designers like Nina..

I've been bored with this season so far. NOTHING I'm seeing from any of the designers is impressing me. It seems all they are doing is "fix ups", instead of actually transforming spaces. I've yet to be wowed by anything. I hope it picks up soon, or I'm just going to switch it off.

Thanks!! Make sure to start a thread on the new series when it gets close to remind everyone! They could use a good 'reality based' show on there for people who just want home reno/decorating real time procedures/cost.

LOL--I now think of this show as a sitcom when I watch. The so called designers are a laugh I tell ya. Really bad. And I do continue to watch, I guess because I have since the beginning. I swear I have never seen such bad designers anywhere.
I should go on this show or at least try out for it. I could out design any of the current contestants hands down.

Yeah, I cannot BELIEVE how incompetent this current crop of contestants are this time around. NONE of them deserve ANYTHING NEAR their own show. They are ALL AWFUL.
What the heck did they do to select these clowns? Pick their names at random from the phone book?
The show is truly PAINFUL to watch.

Ken

Holy GuacaMOLY!
Spoiler
Both Stacy AND Tom were eliminated. And Stacy without them even bothering to watch her video presentation!
If you thought they were mad before, until you see this episode, you ain't seen nothin' yet. To steal a phrase from Niecy Nash, that was a hot mess!

Yeah, there was a post earlier that stated that Vern was faking his anger. I don't think so. The obvious lack of talent in these contestants IS embarrassing to the shows producers, judges, and the network overall - and can risk the shows renewel next season.

I really have noticed that ever since the first year the quality of the contestants (including the winners) seems to be sinking and sinking each and every year. No one has come close to David Bromstad either in quality of work or success.

Ken
