I got a job at tyler ( 11973 US 271, tyler, tx ).
I am looking for apartment. I am not good at driving. From this forum, I found out about bad traffics especially Broadway, troup, and Old Jacksonwille highway.
I can spend up to $850 for studio or one bedroom apartment. I found out cascades. I like it because of hardwood floor and safety matters. How about commute from this apartment to Health science center? Is it difficult to drive for everyday?
Safety and easy driving are the most important factors for me.
Can you give me some names of apartment for easy driving to Health science center?
Thanks

I also looked at the police report for criminal history. Deerwood apartment and Tanglewood Place might be safe places based on police report. There are a few small apartment complexes but I cannot find information through internet.
any suggestions? Thanks again.

The Cascades are on the west side of Tyler. UTHSC is on the east side - WAY on the east side. I would think your daily commute would be around 30 minutes with traffic. Only you can decide if it's worth that. The Cascades are very nice.

I used to live in the Tanglewood apartments. I would not recommend them, but crime was never an issue. Cascades are in a really inconvenient area.
