How do I locate my Hoffmann family members dead or alive in PR? I was told by a man in a law office in PR that all the Hoffmann's in PR are related. I did find one who has not responded to me.

Assuming you have Facebook - Enter "Hoffmann, Puerto Rico" in the FB search bar at the top of the FB page. The option to search for "Hoffmanns living in Puerto Rico" will be displayed...

Click on this and the results will display a list of the 12+ Hoffmanns in Puerto Rico who are on FB. Their names and the towns where they live are shown. If you are on FB you may message each one individually. If you do not have a FB account you will have to create one to be able to contact them.

¡Buena Suerte!

I think you won't have trouble with a sur name like Hoffmann because its not very common. However don't assume that everyone is on Face Book. If your inquiry doesn't work It might be that they may be older, most older folks don't use the Internet. if they have kids your chances are better.

Be careful with those services that swear they can look up some one for a fee, some start at $9.95. The problem with all these services is that once you sign up for a one chance deal they will continue charging you every month until you find the small print that tells you what to do to drop them, and even then its very hard to get rid of them.
